RE: CO2 Device - Cheap, Easy to Make, and Effective
jsyk, bicarb by itself does not elevate the CO2 in the bath. You need to react it with citric acid or vinegar so it breaks down into CO2. Bicarb helps the absorption of the magnesium but does not elevate CO2.
Big move is to do a epsom + baking soda bath for 1/2 hour or so, then drop a shot or two of citric acid or acetic acid or ascorbic acid for a 1/2 hour CO2 bath.

RE: Does anyone else hate raw primal diet cultists?
Almost certainly. I wouldn't be surprised, at the same time, if there were people who improved doing raw primal, before filtering out into more effective and normal diets; this is a hazardous mix.
The raw primal diet is a diet of atavism. This is certain from the perspective of nutritional science, history, and anthropology. Raw Primals rebut by saying cooked food is an addiction but this is a paper-thin defense.

RE: Post what a high progesterone girl looks like here
Faith Ordway was high progesterone just a few years ago- very young face and muscles developed nicely. Her bodybuilding regimen has been effecting her. She still looks good but her skin is starting to show the effects of high prolactin and cortisol. She's with some new "nutritionist" so idk what her diet is like.

RE: Post what a high progesterone girl looks like here
A man of culture
Pretty, good actress, good family, makes $$$, developed and presented a five-year plan to her parents about why they should let her go to hollywood to do acting rather than traditional route of college. She wants to be a young mom and work closely with her husband to have a successful career as producers and directors. I think last year or so Sweeney was a big twitter topic because she had a birthday party for her mom and some family members had red Trump-style hats and Thin Blue Line shirts(or something like that). She refused to condemn them and give into the demands to cancel and renounce her family.
Her interviews are very sweet and I like her; quite frankly, I think that most young hollywood female celebrities are sweet and nice girls but their industry is so exploitive. Sweeney herself had several moments where she almost left Euphoria and other projects because producers and directors wanted her to be naked in scenes multiple times or have her do sex scenes that were really graphic or long.
From what I've seen with her popularity amongst young girls, a single instagram story of Sweeney with Progest-E would overnight put Peaters in the mainstream. idealabs and katherine would run out of everything, millions of young women would be eating the carrot salad, getting checked for mold. They'd have to make new standards for the prescription of penicillin VK and cyproheptadine.

RE: Anyone know the PUFA content of Pasta ?
You could subtract the saturated fat from the total fat content, that would tell you how much MUFA + PUFA.

RE: I will show you why I am an anarcho capitalist libertarian
@Ecstatic_Hamster said in I will show you why I am an anarcho capitalist libertarian:
I have noticed that Libertarian principles are built into how we think, into our brains. We have a built in sense of fairness, of “you give me something, I give you something”, of reciprocity.
Lol. Libertarian economic theory is based on the exact opposite of this, Adam Smith himself said we don't get nourishment from a baker or butcher out of in-built human compassion, but by self-interest. If you seriously believe that human's have in-built fairness and reciprocity, then you're considered a Leftist by any libertarian.

RE: Jason Kelce retirement
Idk how I forgot to mention this.
Stan Efferding's Vertical Diet is popular amongst strength athletes, strongmen in particular, and is gaining popularity in college and NFL. Stan is a student of Peat..
Snack/breakfast of orange juice and yogurt, liberal consumption of carrots, coconut oil, anti-PUFA, not afraid of cholesterol, pro-dairy, no 1g/lb protein dogma, recognizes carbs as protein-sparing and protein as building material not energy, bone broth. If you wanted a conventional, popular diet that's somewhat close to bioenergetic diet, then Vertical Diet. I did it for a year out of need for simple diet and I like meat + rice, I liked it and it's what opened me up to Peat more.

RE: Jason Kelce retirement
Perfectly on topic, this is something I have thought about and have been interested in for a while. Collegiate and professional nutrition, in general, is seemingly a big place to focus bioenergetic thought on; high stress, high recovery needs, differential needs for athletes in different sports. How do you feed the woman biathlete, the male Olympian fencer?
As @eugene said, there are videos about the diets of NFL athletes and other athletes. Important to note that many athletes eat what their team nutritionist is taught, top athletes diets get their way ala Brady, but most athletes are getting low-fat, high PUFA % meals loaded with vegetables and protein shakes. Some programs push plant-based proteins, nut milks, and veganism on their athletes.
Location and food culture play roles as well- Montana rodeo team eating pig kidney sausage seared in pasture-raised lard vs Southeast US football team eating discount porkchop battered and fried in corn oil.
All this being said, D2 and above schools(those who might have a dedicated cooking service for athletes) do ime go a little further in getting good quality meats and other ingredients, so there's at least one benefit compared to the average student. Professional teams who can afford it buy grass-fed beef, bison, wild-caught fish and seafood, etc. As dogmatic as dietetics can be, they understand that grass-fed is better than tortured soy puck beef.
The exertions of most college athletics is immense. Professional sports all the more, save for some less intensive, concentric sports like golf, squash, tennis. Football, basketball, and soccer come to mind as the most strenuous American popular sports Strongman, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, etc. are all extremely strenuous(Olympic being less so) but not popular. I haven't seen much content about this- I also haven't looked very hard.
I know that every time a big star blows a tendon or something, then there's a minor surge in articles about the "latest science" in sports recovery. Sports medicine is cool but as dogmatic as any field. Baking soda loading for endurance is an established and allowed practice in sports nutrition.
Even at the college level, even the lowest NCAA schools will have dedicated recovery facilities with ice baths and a recovery specialist role; I've been to several community colleges(below NCAA) with feedback machines for practicing muscle stimulation and relaxation.
Many D1 athletes would be better served by playing in a dedicated "young person's" league with generous payments and sport-experience derived certificates, rather than pretending to go to college.

RE: Craziest Delusions from the Normieosphere?
Yes, weed is bad in so many ways, it's hard to quantify. There are limited situations where one can use specific and high quality strains to enjoy a specific experience; however, most of the weed people buy is not being grown for quality of experience, but for smell and sight. In addition, heavy metal contamination in weed is an issue, as well as mycotoxins. The market of growers and dispensaries has also fallen into consolidation and profit-squeezing. It's best to not do it.
Not only will people prescribe smoking weed for depression, doctors will do so.

RE: Endometriosis/ Period symptoms/ Estrogen dominance?
Has she had the carrot salad?

RE: Craziest Delusions from the Normieosphere?
Good vs Bad- fats, carbs, proteins. This is often just a stated "that is a bad xyz" with no substantive reasoning, as such people are easy to convince out of it but for the moralists amongst us it can be a very rigid framework, one that's totally under the thumb of authority.
"It's fine because it's an organic brand" or "these additives aren't toxic extracts, they're xyz bean/fruit gum, it's natural."
Every time I end up talking about gelatin with someone and another overhears, I get the comment "I just use agar, it's the same thing." Vegan/vegetarian gelatin alternatives are everywhere in major cities.
I encounter a lot of stoners, who are addicts yes, but also suffer from insanely delusional takes that get passed around dispensaries and their clientele. I've had three people argue that dabs(99% THC) are anti-cancer because THC is anti-cancer and it's a lot of THC at once. I remember back in the early 2010s, there was the admission that smoking weed at a young age irreversibly reduces development, nowadays though I see parents let their kids run around while adults are smoking joints around them, don't confront people smoking in parks where kids are playing, etc. Second-hand smoke was a massive deal when I was a kid(especially because I lived in an area where adults routinely smoked with windows up and kids in the car) but that has totally vanished with weed. Even worse when I hear people advocate that kids take CBD to help with anxiety and depression, literally pointing them from the youngest ages into cannabis consumption.

Jason Kelce retirement
Jason Kelce, famous center for the Philadelphia Eagles, has announced his retirement from the NFL. He has chosen the path of gratitude and being a present father for his young children.
Kelce was a center, which means he was exposed to multiple high speed collisions, every game, for many years. As such, he has a high chance of developing CTE(chronic traumatic encephalopathy) and has a 90% chance of already having some level of degenerative brain damage. He's a perfect person to enjoy longevity and health through bioenergetics.
We need to get Progest-E into Kelce's hands. He needs to be taking aspirin. He needs thyroid. He needs gelatin.

RE: Baking Soda; All the Great Use Cases
Soothe bug bite irritation by mixing with water until paste-like. Leave for a few minutes then wipe off.
Soothe (sun)burns while protecting skin from microbes by soaking in the tub.
Always good to have an easily accessible, opened box of baking soda nearby anywhere you might have a small grease fire.

RE: How to cope with not having optimal development
In my experience, getting into and out of learned helplessness involves the people around you. PUFA saturation may lower thyroid and raise serotonin, etc, and these all have their effects on the mind, but it is the people around us who can pull the final lever into helplessness.
When we say learned helplessness, we must remember that "learned" is the experience of the student; what of the teacher? We learn helplessness by interacting with people and places that we neither understand nor influence and we receive feedback thereto. Likewise, learned hopefulness can be taught.
Another thing is that most people run through their lives without paying attention to the things around them, and if they do, they think only about their perspective and their influence on the things, rarely the things' influence on them. This is why so many people live their entire lives sleeping next to a moldy vent, only checking it after they got wise to the situation. Something you spend 25-33% of your life next to, in your most vulnerable state, only now when some blog post tells you do you think about how it might be effecting you. This applies more to those smart enough to know better, not the deprived and ignorant. A class on Heidegger opened much of this up for me.
Once you start to take account of how things communicate to you and influence you, then you move beyond an organ system with impulses and reaction, to becoming an organism with thoughts and action- "I am myself plus my circumstances" by Jose Ortega y Gasset.

RE: How to cope with not having optimal development
@Mulloch94 @Cerbrosyn
Mulloch's suggestions here are good, if you want to focus on sexual development and puberty. However, I think you should change your mindset before you put hormones into your body.
-
RE: How to cope with not having optimal development
@Cerbrosyn
but i'll never be how I was going to be if I peated since I was born.
Welcome to the real world, stop wasting glucose thinking about things you can't change. You've made an effort to learn and improve through sciences once thought fringe but are now becoming cutting-edge, why would you piss in the face of this with beta self-talk?
I look like a 15 year old at 21, it's a constant reminder that I'm permanently fucked from hormonal problems during puberty.
The way you talk about yourself and your time with bioenergetics sounds like you are looking for a reason to continue sticking to your victimhood- "Peating won't work for me I look like a kid I can never change". It sounds like YOU are the biggest obstacle in your life, not whatever "hormonal problems" you had during puberty.
If you're peating, then you don't need to cope, you need to perceive, think, and act.
For the record, I'm no paragon of prenatal perfection:
My mom was soaked in PUFA and carried me during the most stressful and undernourished time in her life. My father was a PUFA-soaked obese diabetic with heart disease and a cancerous metabolism, years before I was even conceived. I was born prematurely by over a month. I was always one of the smallest guys in school, I was never an impressive athlete though being born prematurely probably saved some part of my brain for academics.
I had an unremarkable puberty with little growth. I constantly looked at the pictures of my young father and wished I had the strong features that he had, I am nearly a foot shorter than he was. I left the learned helplessness mindset during college, starting working, learning, allowing myself time to build up the nutrition and lifestyle necessary to be healthy. My face and body changed and grew a lot during the last year of college and into my adult life(not to sound like I'm an old man, I'm not much older than you are).
You'll be fine
