Mice fed a 0% protein diet for a week lost nearly 20% of their body mass
It was not muscle mass either. Mostly fat. What is the mechanism behind this? Is it because of methionine and tryptophan restriction? Does the body break down fat tissue for protein when needed?

RE: Why would you take cynomel?
@happyhanneke Cynoplus had a ratio of 4:1 T4 To T3. This makes it difficult to utilize the thyroid because the ratio of T4 is too high. Usually people use a sort of combination therapy to get their desired ratio

RE: does butter oxidise when used as cooking oil?
@reasonablepete This is how i feel with bananas and pineapples. Sure bananas have some starch and they both have serotonin. I love these fruits too much to not eat them because of a little serotonin

RE: Powdered cream, etc
@16charactersitis Ray stopped recommending milk powder because the process of dehydrating it increases the oxidation of the protein and not only lowers the protein value but increases its toxicity and allergenicity.

RE: ACNE and ACNE SCARS are ruining my life. I have tried literally everything!
Using a dry brush, rebounding, sweating and other things that are good for lynph flow can help. For products ive noticed benefits from topical caffeine, naringenin, and vit E. I like to keep my skincare simple though so i just use beef tallow and raw honey.

RE: Raw milk as a source of Vitamin C
@insufferable Yes I believe in some ways, it has stronger antiviral effects and different mechanisms outside the cell. Once transported, its immediately reduced to AA intracellularly.

Raw milk as a source of Vitamin C
Ray has said before that milk is a good source of Vitamin C. I wanted to find exactly how much so i did some research. Between 1 and 6mg dehydroascorbic acid per liter are generally present in commercial pasteurized milk. This is an oxidized form of vitamin C found in animal foods. Raw milk has about 3x as much or up to 18mg per litre. On top of that, the ascorbic acid content of raw milk ranges from 14.0 mg. to 22.5 mg. So total Vitamin C content can be up to 40.5mg per litre. This makes raw milk a pretty great source of Vitamin C especially compared to other animal foods.
