@water-fire 100g, so not a great deal. Cutting the white sugar could present a problem though, because my physical performance hasn't ever been better despite what I assume are elevated cortisol levels from life stress. Is the evidence that conclusive on white sugar and acne?
Milk+sugar is a Bad combo, sugar just exacerbate nutrients use, milk can contribute to acne. How much meat do you eat a day

Cyproheptadine may help. I noticed it reduces the size of my spots in doses of 1mg a day.
I had a big spot in the center of my chest that for some reason wasn't healing or shrinking, and it was producing a lot of puss. When I started taking 1mg cyproheptadine again, after not using it for many months, the spot started to shrink and heal and is now almost completely gone.
Cypro can have side effects though (especially drowsiness) so try it on a day when you aren't doing anything the day after.

You can try solban? (easy to make your own)

I’d Avoid food s with iron, especially those with added iron, eg breads, cakes, pizza etc.
Use coffee/tea to block iron after meals.
Avoid pufa of course.
Small doses of penicillin or tetracycline could help -
@water-fire, sorry for the name confusion!

I used to have large cysts on my neck and the corners of my face, around the bottom of my jaw bone beneath my ear. I also got whiteheads quite regularly. The only thing that really worked was cutting out starches for over a year. All my cysts are gone and I only get whiteheads after eating a lot of starch or fiber, which I'm forced to do because the effects of not excreting estrogen via fiber are worse than a few zits. I noticed that when I feel constipated I get acne, I think it's from SIBO. I also noticed recently that red meat makes me constipated if I eat too much at once, which I theorize is from the excess iron feeding the SIBO. Also I don't exercise other than walking, I don't see how your body can recover from chronic metabolism problems if you're constantly forcing it into a stressed exercise state.

I'd also seriously question the idea that forcing your body into being 10% bodyfat is healthy and not reliant on stress metabolism.

I use a cerave "Acne Control" (ironic) cleanser and a tallow-based moisturiser, and wash my face with water and a clean towel several times throughout the day.
This is your problem right here, tallow is clogging your pores and destroying your skin barrier. The Cerave cleanser is also bad for the skin barrier , especially if you’re using it multiple times per day.

I don't think it matters what you put on your face. You can get some cheap mild skincare products. Maybe glycerin soap wash, diluted vinegar rinse, and squalane oil to moisturize if you need it. The only thing that has worked for us is the B5 and carnitine protocol. That seems to clear it right up after years of suffering. hopefully this helps you. Stay strong. You will eventually have clear skin.

@Bingo I disagree, it definitely matters, there are certain ingredients that are known to clog pores in acne prone individuals. They cause inflammation and that causes hyperkeratosis, overproduction of skin cells which is what blocks the pore. When your skin barrier is also sub optimal such as from using harsh surfactants, the follicle can rupture from these pore blockages causing even more inflammation.
I understand that diet can help with acne, but I don’t think it’s helpful to tell acne sufferers that skin care doesn’t matter and to keep going on the quest to cure their skin with diet alone. That could take years to figure out and they may never get 100% clear if they continue using destructive topical products.
You can actually clear your skin without any dietary changes just from eliminating comedogens and using barrier supporting ingredients. Unfortunately, most dermatologists and formulators have no clue, there is only a small sector of estheticians who know this - look up corneotherapy.

I used to get mad acne from full fat dairy but not anymore
I think hypo people probably get more acne -
@ilovethesea Probably its different for everybody. Acne can have so many causes! I have heard of people who got rid of their acne by stopping all skincare and only rinsing their face with cold water. No other changes! I imagine lots of skincare can be tried out, and probably could be helpful for some. Many skincare products are irritating and unhealthy for the face. In the end, my family found that acne was an internal issue, and using only basic skincare helped because it wasn't irritating. Dietary changes didn't help either. It was a fat metabolism issue that pantothenic acid seemed to help regulate. I really think once the metabolism issue is solved, that even applying tallow to the skin would not cause acne. Anyway it’s worth looking at all the options. Acne can be so frustrating and concerning to those who suffer with it.
