Idealabs Energin

Just curious if any of you are supplementing with energin, and curious how you use it, dose/placement etc.

I use it. People say topical application is most efficient, but it just stays yellow on my skin. I like to place a few drops toward back of my tongue. Taste is garlicky but I don’t mind it. I feel no difference in energy levels but my hands/feet feel warmer.

25 drops fit perfectly into a 00 gel cap, so that's what I used to do. I had to stop taking it though because my wife hated the way it made me smell (she said it was like "fake crab meat")

I do sublingual and it's rather powerful in providing energy

I have used it orally, leaving it to absorb (buccally) for 30 to 120 seconds. I did this every day 10 to 20 drops and thought the very modest mg dosing and ratios Georgi went with achieved some noticeable pro-metabolic effects (warming, good for mental clarity/cognitive capacity, etc). I did this every day for several three-month stints and then more occasionally over the last 6 years (has this product really been around that long, maybe since 2016 when I began using it intensively??? [if I recall correctly, although not sure].Then Georgi changed the solvent and the taste changed dramatically for the worse. I dislike using it now because of the taste and smell. I think it probably still has subtle but noticeable positive effects for me when I use it orally (maybe a few days each month when diet and other supplements are not achieving my b-vitamin targets).
Others reported dramatic effects with transdermal applied to the chest/abdomen/etc. I tried this a number of times and never noticed any effect and always returned to taking energin orally. Note: I have been on thyroid (highly variable dosing) since 2015. You’ll read on RPF many wise commentators suggesting that b-vitamin supplementation is needed or helpful when attempting other pro-metabolic interventions aimed at increasing one’s basal metabolic rate. I think Energin is a good supplement for that. I wish Georgi would offer a version with the original solvent to get rid of the garlicy taste in the current formulation.
Does anyone know which ingredient in the current formulation explains the garlicy taste that’s so different from Energin’s previous formulation?

From https://raypeatforum.com/community/threads/energin-liquid-b-complex-vitamin-mix.3859/
'As such, the presence of porsultiamine in Energin should increase the effects associated with usage of vitamin B1. Both prosultiamine and allithiamine are naturally occurring analogs of vitamin B1, and present in high concentrations in garlic and are probably responsible for the unique smell of garlic, with Energin now smelling somewhat similar to garlic as well.' -
@carrotsaladlover Thanks for providing that info. I should have looked it up myself but have been through the IdealAbs monster threads at RPF enough times to have become lazy. Cheers!
