High Serotonin = Weaker Bones
-
For the benefit of those who aren't already aware:
High levels of serotonin are detrimental to the bones by increasing risks of fracture.
The observations that deletion of the Tph1 gene in osteoblasts or treatment with a Tph1 antagonist results in decreased serum serotonin and increased trabecular bone mass due to increased bone formation3, 5 further suggest that serotonin is a negative regulator of bone mass, although these observations were not made in another study
Personal observation is that after a while of peating bones became considerably thicker and denser.

extremely real, my skull and bone all became thicker when i first started peating.
