I just watched these videos like probably thousands of others. I'm not an insider. If the video was removed then it's possible nobody has a copy but I don't know how other people are not aware of it.
I have nothing to gain with this post. I have no relationship with any of these people. I don't need you to believe me. It doesn't effect me either way.
I had a negative visceral reaction to DR having that role and I posted it.

If he kept money intended for Ray himself, it was temporary and not all the time (which wouldn't really make it much better). I'm sorry. I don't remember when I saw it. It was years ago.
There was no apology. He acted like it never happened afterwords. The apology was that he had to keep the donations because he really needed the money.
The before and after would be that he stopped saying the donations were for RP if you were tracking down the vid.

That was my first reaction. You would want someone pristine in that position. I obviously do not know what he'll do.
Regarding me, I'm not taking over the Ray Peat empire (who gets it after Katherine btw). I'm just a fan of the GE podcast and watched some of Roddy's other content back then. We could be talking about an episode of Game of Thrones. It's just a show to me. I watched while it on a treadmill on a big tv with a roku attached and no login.
I don't know that the vid where he said he was keeping the money was a GE podcast but it was definitely uploaded to his Youtube channel because that's how I saw it. I'm having trouble remembering if he was with Georgi or not. This must have been around 5 years ago.
I can't blame some people for being skeptical. It was a very strange thing to watch, surreal. The other thing that's so strange is that it never became a big deal. I have no explanation for that. I was watching thinking this retard is committing career suicide but it really never effected him. I guess he's lucky. It could also be because the audience was very small back then.

there is a guy on the reddit sub who claims danny and some others gang stalked / did some harassment of him . for some reason that may be unfair i think dr is capable of this. the reason i think this is he has bad judgement as evidenced by him boosting accounts of ppl with suboptimal/bad behavior (associating people that make Hitler memes out of Ray, calling people who post genocidal things his friends or that he holds them
in respect publically, praising them) and also because he posted excited stuff about impending civil conflict and posted stuff amplifying potential psyops, deleted the posts later, and then never acknowledged until asked directly about it that he did delete because he realized it was a psyop (no apology).i also feel personally that he sort of baited and switched me as many other people did in a way more extreme way by garnering my attention and lowkey viewer support and then engaging with people, boosting them, who would / have post genocidal dehumanizing things about me due to who I AM.

him, I feel a visceral negative reaction to him. though it is unfair to say he WILL scam.anyways to round it out this made me realize that actually putting personal value on “relationships” aka watching a health influencer’s videos or whatever is stupid and gay, as i dont really know these people and the way they operate as if they might not personally effect members of their viewership by catering to / amplifying narrow-view asshole views shows they dont have good judgement all the time. this is in contrast to Ray Peat who didnt get hyper emotional in public interviews ive see of him. there are multiple “health influencers” who ride on loose coattails of Ray Peat and bioenergetic space who are boring dumb and gay. Danny himself is mostly boring dumb and gay, I think this is objectively true. There are a couple more johnny come latelys to
peatosphere who are even worse boring dumb gay retards who spend 30 minutes talking about what they eat without actually saying much at all, and like I said already, these people are in stark contrast to how helpful intelligent and interesting Ray Peat’s interviews, talks, articles are. Some of these guys also post dehumanizing things, one guy Josh Ranirr specifically posted stuff mocking children “illegals”’who got detained. The rub here is that my objection to this isnt that “illegals” are being detained, that’s just the law and I’m not involved or interested at this time to debate that, what I AM saying is mocking hardships of kids even when they are part of legally necessary things is obscene, dumb, gay, and unmasculine. Paired with half dead/eyed vacant stare and unfamiliar physiogonomy of Josh Ranierr this elicits visceral disgust. He then later posted whining about how covid lockdowns effected his dad and his life, and I thought it was funny he expects platform to garner sympathy while previously mocking children (and RT stuff about black man rape semen— not making this up).Danny is just a weird grifter who made his whole career and personality about another man and herenow is correct in expressing his distaste but wrong saying he WILL scam.
also i said above earlier danny amplified bad views that are suboptimal, he also amplifies Ray Peat’s and Haidut’s views which are good.

@herenow danny played a significant role in making Peatosphere the disgusting thing it is now , the irony is he helped popularize it alot too, but after Ray Peat passed Danny had no anchor of current material to tie his social media postings goodly to, so he amplified HitlerPeat memes etc. This is because without creative output of Ray Peat, Danny has almost nothing. He doesnt do first hand lab research, his health consulting is just telling people to take thyroid or eat carrots (i think) and he has no creative output of work in any sphere that is objectively that good aside from youtube videocast editing for livestreams.
he doesnt realize it, i dont think he has self awareness, in the band he played in i dont think he contributed much either to creative output. The main evidence objectively is the weird, gross, boring dumb gay food videos he has unironically posted showing disgusting “meals” only someone with a lack of self awarenss would video and put online thinking people would like to see that and not gag about it

I have wiffle waffled on personally forgiving danny and even apologized to him once for saying stuff like the above, though after witnessing more tangential objectively bad behavior from people he cultivated (not even always knowingly) due to his lack of self awareness, i actually feel even stronger about my opinion of him . why did i write so much about a guy? as a cope for feeling baited and switched. i thought he was cool, has self awareness, and is chill, but he is not really, and I feel like I was tricked. This is my own fault though.

He didn't need to admit he was keeping the money. How would anybody know what happened to donations that go to his youtube?
He commits a crime that he easily could have gotten away with but then proves he's insane by confessing on video saying he needs the money.

Im saying what kind of a man, after his friend (who expessed Marxist views) passes, would willingly amplify some anonymous twitter weirdo making a meme out of the dead friend’s face with Hitler moustache and calling him Raydolph Hitler? Did Katherine think this is funny too? Did she know? If not, is Danny Roddy suitable for being in business with her? @herenow has good points in questioning this business thing.
A further point: IF these books are not annotaited with updates regarding how Ray’s views changed, then they are pointless to buy in my opinion. IF Danny cannot accomplish this it proved he is really inept and uncreative. The idea of selling dated material on health information when the author changed their views is fucking retarded from a busienss as well as a common sense standpoint, especially from someone who is paid to be a health coach or whatever. I wont buy any of them because Im not buying a book for someone then spending hours going through it and putting in notes for the person I care about reading it so they dont get hung up on a dated idea that Ray modified or went back on later.
Point me any one of my points that is objectively wrong or incorrect. I’ll wait.

I can't believe I'm doing this but you can see after GE 30 that the donate to RP banner goes away. I assume it's around here that the thing with the donations happened over 4 years ago but less than 5.
Not all episodes are up and audio is very easy to edit so who knows if it's still out there. It is very strange that nobody else seems to have seen it and you may decide I don't remember, that I'm nuts or lying and that's fine.
It's possible it wasn't on a GE podcast and that he uploaded something different but I'm guessing it was. It's hard to remember specifics from over 4 years ago. It was definitely uploaded to youtube.

@herenow I have a feeling that there is some context that we are probably missing. Although I have no substantial basis to say so, I'd think that Ray wasn't entirely expecting to be paid for every episode of GE he appeared on. Ray was always quite vocal that if you wanted to support his work then you should buy his newsletter.
Now, if Danny had continued to be saying that all donations go to Ray, whilst he himself was actually pocketing the money, then that would be something to be upset over. Again though, whilst I have no hard evidence to be saying so, I feel like Danny would've still been giving Ray money from GE even if he wasn't telling the viewers about it. I recall reading that Danny had given money to Ray, out of his own pocket, before GE even existed.
As for Katherine, the majority of us seem to know next to nothing about her. I think most of us though would assume that she is far from being an idiot, with how close she apparently was to Ray for many years. Ray even mentioned her once, saying she had a better knack for language than himself. I imagine she's likely capable of spotting a fraudster.
IIRC Ray has at least one brother and at least one sister, and I believe he has multiple nieces/nephews. Someone on X actually claimed they met a Peat working in a hair salon, whom they boldly asked about Ray and the lady said she was his niece. Whether Ray wanted his sibling's children to be his heirs is anyone's guess.
As for Danny's misbehaviour on X, I think he has been a long time fan of Sam Hyde so I'm not surprised if he finds the nazi shitposting stuff funny.

@Milk-Destroyer I know very little about DR. I liked his GE podcasts with Dinkov and RP.
If he leans towards Marxist ideology then he may have felt he needed the money more and therefore keeping it was fair. (Another tiny memory returned. I vaguely recall him saying how much he needed equipment for the podcast. He couldn't do them without upgrades)
I can only say I have no negative bias towards DR. He speaks English well and I understand English well. The odds that I have this wrong are minuscule. I remember what he did because of how odd it was. I don't remember anything else from the video because the rest wasn't memorable.
