I'm looking for anything that could help metabolic ameliorate Multiple Hereditary Exostoses.

It's a disorder that causes tumors to grow on epiphyseal plates due alledgedly the ext1 gene being damaged and preventing heparan sulfate production.
One study from the 1980s mentions that localized low thyroid and vitamin C may be a source of the problem:
"An other theory ascribes the disorder to thyroid hormone deficiency associated with hypovitaminosis C, a disorder that could be transmitted as an environmentally related hereditary disorder and not as a chromosomal one. This theory is supported by studies that show a high prevalence of the disease in areas in which thyroid insufficiency is prevalent and by experimental evidence from animals that had previously been treated with partial thyroidectomy and were then fed a diet low in vitamin C, which produced exostoses."
Source: Multiple Hereditary Osteochondromata HAMLET A. PETERSON, M.D.Anyway, The surgeries for this are pretty barbaric but often necessary so anything that could correct this disorder for somebody who is still growing would be so so helpful.
also, to do surgery you need x-rays which is likely partly why I have chronic bad thyroid, lol. I've been x-rayed 1000s of times.I know a lot about the disorder, so if you have questions I can provide answers and resources.
