@User69 Have you checked your thyroid function? Have you done a SIBO breath test, or tried antibiotics?
I know you responded to my thread and I've done these things, but I'm going to redo my SIBO breath test, and perhaps keep playing with antibiotics(while investigating other things).

I’ll cut out the glutamine for now I have a sore throat from either it or a virus that is going around.

Coffee blocks thiamine function and thiamine can interfere with your sleep. Dr. Costantini recommended to take one dose mid morning and the second dose mid afternoon (by 3:00pm). He did not "forbid" his patients to drink coffee, but he did caution to keep its intake to one cup per day and to space it away from the thiamine. His FAQs have helpful information. I follow his Therapy protocol regarding my dose (it's based on the patient's weight).
The sore throat is probably a bug that's going around.
I occasionally use l-glutamine too; it's important to not take it for a long duration, but I think taking it once in a while for less than a week should be OK.

@mostlylurking It's just funny that historically I get a sore throat about 5 days into taking it.
I wondered if I was imagining it, bought some for gut health and got a sore throat on day 7, lol.

@retard SIBO Test came back negative.
It's difficult to get a thyroid test with my current insurance.

It may be a sensitivity reaction? I've never taken l-glutamine longer than 4-5 days because I'm a little leery of it because it encourages cell division, which would be helpful if you are trying to get a wound to heal but not a good idea for an extended time because it encourages cell division which could encourage cancer growth.
Thiamine hcl is pretty cheap stuff, all things considered. Magnesium is too; both heal the intestine and resolved my long term gut disbiosis that included leaky gut. There's lots of helpful info over at Dr. Costantini's site. There seems to be a connection/correlation between digestive tract problems and Parkinson's Disease. Many Parkinson's patients have a history of gut disbiosis. Both of these health problems are related to thiamine deficiency/functional blockage and the symptoms improve with thiamine supplementation.

@mostlylurking Yeah, the big change I'll make today is thiamine in late morning after my coffee has had time to absorb. My normal night-time gram is right before I eat dinner.
And I'm adding mag. No glutamine yesterday.
I'm leery about taking it too long because some cancers eat it. But I was hoping my previous bouts of sore throat were coincidences. Hell, this may be too just because lots of folks are getting the flu or strep in my circle.
But I was really just thinking that if I take it until my acne goes away, I'll know I healed my gut dysbiosis, but alas.

Cured my fibromyalgia.
Cured my reflux, SIBO.
My bowel movements are so constant right know, I feel like I am 5 years old again LOL.
Sleeping very well. Had terrible insomnia.

That's great news! 2 grams of thiamine hcl/day + magnesium did the same for me. Thiamine deficiency is a lot more common than most people believe.

It is my understanding that taking some niacinamide, riboflavin, potassium, and possibly some zinc is a good idea too because when you fix your oxidative metabolism, these things get used more and so providing them is helpful.
I take 100mg niacinamide 4Xday; 100mg riboflavin 4Xday; 24-32 oz of orange juice/day (for the potassium); and 15mg zinc maybe every other day. I've found that I do well on 3100mgs of magnesium glycinate, which equals to 400 mgs of magnesium
