Why is looking at LCD screens antimetabolic?

Whenever I look at a monitor or phone screen for too long a malaise goes over me, almost like i'm hypnotized and I get slight brain fog

I'm guessing certain frequencies of light activate the parasympathetic systems.

@Ray-Van-Winkle try a blue light filter if you can't limit your screen usage after dark.

if u have iphone go to settings->display and brightness and set nightshift mode on scheduled from 3:59 AM to 3:58 AM, and turn on "manually enable until tomorrow" ,this way its stays on 24/7. play around with the temperature to see what you like. i keep it in the middle. True tone is another feature you can try, i keep that one off, though.
