Vit A increase hight in children
-
A study from 2000, titled "Vitamin A supplementation selectively improves the linear growth of Indonesian preschool children: results from a randomized controlled trial" (Vitamin A supplementation selectively improves the linear growth), found that high-dose vitamin A supplementation improved linear growth by 0.16 cm/4 mo, with effects modified by age, initial vitamin A status, and breastfeeding. Specifically, children under 24 months saw a 0.10 cm/4 mo increase, while those 24 months and older saw a 0.22 cm/4 mo increase, with significant effects in those with serum retinol <0.35 micromol/L.
