    What's the ideal serum value for the hormone ACTH?

      The lab provides a wide range (7.2 to 63.3).

      I have had results over the range in many occasions which I know is not good.

      After taking some cyproheptadine, even the night before the test, I got a result of 34, more in the middle of the range.

      Does anyone know what the ideal value should be for this stress hormone? Should it be as low as possible?
