Is there any benefit to using vitamin E as a solvent for hormones?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that hormones in vitamin E can build up in the tissue rather than being excreted faster by the body if it was in DMSO for example.

Does anyone have any information on this?

My understanding is it increases oral assimilation of steroids into the bloodstream and potentially tissues as well because tocopherol is absorbed through the chylomicrons and therefore the liver won't break them down, at least in first pass through. That's why I won't even fuck with any progesterone product that isn't Progest-E. The others are typically dissolved in MCT oil, which will go STRAIGHT to the liver via portal vein. Once in the liver progesterone is turned into something else...allopregenolone I think.

If I remember correctly Vitamin E has an affinity for the brain, and thus any hormone in it would favor brain health. I believe Ray mentioned this when asked about the formulation of Progest-E, but this effect is not limited to progesterone.

There is a study I will try to find later that assessed medications dissolved in Vit E and their accumulation in the brain after traumatic brain injury, IIRC.

Vit E significantly improved accumulation in the brain, Vit E itself accumulates in the brain and the liver(other places too, but these two are the most accumulating). This makes sense due to the sensitivity of each organ to lipid peroxidation, cell membrane disruption, etc.
