Under eye support/tear troughs/hallow indents
-
Hello everyone,
This is my first post, I normally am too shy to post. I’m at my wits end with my under eyes. I have decent development on my lower third and pretty strong side lateral cheekbone, however the forward area in my sinus/under eye/under nose tip area, must be 10mm recessed. My upper lip is thin because my front teeth I believe are set back.
Does anyone have any real success with this area and seen development to improve this? I’m just not sure if I should give up at some point and resort to surgery. I really don’t want to, but just wondering if I’m an idiot for thinking I can improve this with time. I mean I know it’s possible as some of you are so smart with this maxilla stuff, and I learn so much. However, I can’t seem to apply this for myself and unless someone is really confident and knows it to be possible, I feel like I need their assistance.
If anyone wants some examples of people, please ask me and I’ll give you some people that have similar features to my situation. However some have the under eye recession and still have strong upper lip support, so it’s not all apples to apples but I think it’s close enough to understand.
Please respond with anything, I just want to talk this out so don’t be shy like me!

I don't have much experience, but I think I understand what you're saying.
I found some studies suggesting that a Frankel Appliance could help with what you're describing. In this study they conclude that the "Significant alveolar and apical base expansion was found in the treatment group". It seems like the alveolar and apical base is just the bone on the base of the upper teeth, so if they shift everything forward and help your tongue guide the other tissue forward, it'll probably make the features less hollow.Though, some example/reference photos would be helpful just to be sure.
