I was considering taking thyroid because of symptoms and low waking temperature. Other signs of hypo on my part are mainly fatigue, acne, cholesterol on the upper end (slightly over the limit).
In addition, the fact that TSH is pretty high and fT3 is also high seems somewhat counterintuitive.Any advice?

@FTMarinetti high TSH is in fact an indication for thyroid supplementation. It means that your body demands more thyroid hormone, yet the thyroid cannot deliver it. According to Ray Peat, it should be lower that 1.
As for the fT3, Peat didn't think the free thyroid hormone tests are medically valid, and he has generally subscribed to an older school of thought that didn't put much trust in blood tests for T3 and T4 in general (the assumption is that the whole-body content of these matters and it's not easily measured).
That said, I'm not a doctor, or any kind of medical practitioner, or even an experienced thyroid user, so I won't tell you to take it. You should read Danny Roddy's article https://dannyroddy.substack.com/p/demystifying-thyroid-supplementation, Ray's articles on thyroid from his website, forum threads on here and on the old forum, and ideally also Broda Barnes book before proceeding.
Also, how's your diet and supplementation? Do you have any health problems/complaints that you think might be resolved by thyroid? If you're recent to this, I would see if properly Peating for some time would not resolve your issues. It does for many people.

@DonkeyDude Thank you for your answer. I have been peating for more or less 6 months. PUFAs are very low, high carb and lower fat. Tried the daily carrot salad but didn't notice anything so I stopped.
The most prevalent symptom is fatigue, but I know high cholesterol and acne are also related to thyroid. My cholesterol is slightly over the limit and acne has been constant throughout my life. In addition my temperatures are too low in the morning.
I definetly think Peating has helped me with insomnia, as eating a good amount of sugar before bed aids me in falling asleep. Also, more coffee with plenty of sugar and coconut oil has made me lose 3kg without effort, so definetly I have seen some results.
I was considering cyproheptadine but I'd need to go to France to get it without prescription.
One year ago my TSH was 3.13, so there has been some slight improvement. I may also add that 3 years ago I was really into long distance running and I went really hard on myself (definetly not eating enough calories), so maybe I am still recovering. -
@FTMarinetti To get thyroid prescription I'd need to convince my doctor, which I'll try to do in the near future.

Many French pharmacies sell it online, if you're in the EU it might be worth trying.
