Insensitive People

Hi.
Been Peating for ~5 months now, with gradually increasing commitment. It's going well, but there's one issue: My body doesn't react. Negatively OR positively.
Synthetic vitamins (even vitamin A) , niacin, toxic foods, huge doses of supplements, nothing upsets my body.
Likewise, most good things, such as thiamine, magnesium, aspirin, K2, cyproheptadine, etc don't cause any "wow this is really doing something!" effect.I can go on.
Is this a sign of something making me numb or inhibiting absorption? I don't have any tangible problems, I feel fine almost all the time. But it's weird that I can take 8mg of MB or 5g of aspirin and not notice anything crazy.

This could be something far more complex and specific to you. I'm only here for an angle.
When I've gotten myself in this kind of comfortably numb state, it was because I wasn't respecting a rhythm.https://www.google.com/search?q=sodium+circadian+rhythm+study
https://www.google.com/search?q=vasopressin+circadian+rhythm+studyIf you're looking in to it, please cross check with anything Ray might have said about it using these tools or other methods.

I'm doing this to try and make a grander point. But it's a very stop-start process and there's a lot to it. I'm not ready to make statements as if I know what I'm talking about it.

@Tahodama I’ve more or less been the same and it could just mean you’re in a pretty good state and there’s not a whole lot to be done. Danny Roddy has described “hyper responders” as hypometabolic, so it would make sense if the inverse were true

I'm glad that I'm not the only one. I see tons of comments of somebody taking X or eating more of Y and feeling a drastic change, whether it be positive or negative. I've changed my diet many times and I've always felt pretty much the same. The only thing that instantly makes me feel better is orange juice and sunlight.

I do have an irregular sleep schedule, and my eating schedule is a bit flimsy at times, so maybe that could be affecting things.
I decided to go on an "abstinence", foregoing all but one or two things and seeing if I lose any benefits, sort of like noticing a droning noise but only when it stops. Two noteworthy things:
- I do feel a tiny bit more exhaustion-prone without MB, but that may be an inverse placebo.
- I took a thiamine/mag/b3/sugar milkshake (I was too lazy to look up any good B complexes and so I just settled with niacinamide, we'll see if I regret that) and for once felt the warm rush people describe. Toes, hands, forearms, all very warm, not just a "I gotta convince myself that I'm feeling warm"-kind of warm. Or maybe my red light is just burning me more than usual, which is odd.
I wouldn't say I'm adequately healthy, but I don't have any serious conditions or problems, so I don't complain too much about insensitivity. But it's problematic when trying to resolve the following issues that I'm almost certain I have:
- Excess serotonin/estrogen/stress hormones - currently suffering all the emotional and mood-related symptoms of these excesses. Trying to fix it for obvious reasons, don't wanna feel irritable/despondent/anxious/depressed/etc all the time.
- Weight loss - tbf I fell for the newbie peater meme of gorging on saturated fats so while I'm producing energy I still need to lose weight. Thankfully (and somewhat unthankfully) my manual labor job is rigorous so I only gained like 5lbs (188lbs 6'0") and improving well.
- General upward movement - I don't want to be in a middling state of health, I want improved cognitive function, energy production, etc. to help me later in life.
Some diagnostics:
- Dietary intake (relative to the average peater): High starch (pasta & potatoes), low-mid protein (mostly from scarce beef and diary), mid-high fat (dairy), mid-low sugar (dairy, table sugar, and berries), high PUFA (zogged butter usage and rare processed foods, mitigating currently)
Sources of stress:
- Personal life: High, circumstances causing depressive or despairing emotions
- Worklife: High, too stimulating in how demanding the labor is
- Existential: Medium, mostly worrying about x or y future thing, can be dealt with easily
I was instructed by a good friend to focus on eliminating negative traits rather than trying to establish positive traits. So if I am right in my excess of stress hormones then I should indeed quit almost all my supplements and focus on taking cyproheptadine and soon to be progesterone, and seeing if that eliminates the symptoms.
I think the abstinence actually helped out, or at least it was liberating to realize I am not so dependent on GABA + glycine + antihistamine for sleep as I was. And making things much more simpler makes it easier to track any potential happenings.

be glad u ingrate some people have their weeks ruined if a tesla parks in their neighboorhood

Personally i think you're fine and probably ahead in most ways healthwise. I recommend staying the course by eating good foods that are prepared properly, not overdoing any supplement [including aspirin and MB!) unless a specific need arises. And even then try a temporary protocol to experiment, smaller doses initially then work your way up (i've done many!). Also take care not to upset your mineral balance because upping one can lower another and then cause issues.
In my case i was a subtle responder, it was hard to tell if something was working because results came slowly, but come they did. I was in at least halfway decent shape to begin with btw.

@Ray-Van-Winkle Yeah I had yesterday off so I decided to take 2g niacin just to see what would happen. Mild itching. Took a shower to provoke a worse reaction, and react it did... made me appreciate being a slow reactor, frankly. Progress for me is slow (weight loss, learned helplessness overcoming, energy production, etc), but is still tangible, and if one can tangibly tell they are moving a good direction maybe it's best not to rock the boat.
I still enjoy taking MB though... will just be more conservative with it. Aspirin is meh; I tried megadosing it to do some uncoupling but it wasn't exciting. Probably will just take a couple now and then for supposed aromatase inhibition.
I think dietary changes have had the most influence on me. There are many things I want to try out for their "uniqueness", such as pregnenolone, Haidut supplements, etc (this is why I tried out MB), but I'll need to curb those desires until I can accurately get an idea of what my body's condition is.
