The ethics of having children while in sub-standard metabolic condition

They don't even get what was the original purpose of democracy invented in ancient Greece, etc. And most importantly politicians aren't (systemic) problem-solvers, they just chatter to pander to specific voters...
It's not their job to get it, it's yours. And to continuously remind them of it.
It's also not their job to be problem-solvers, they're law makers. Book keepers. So tell them. What to write down and what to rub out.
Probably a good idea to read directive 2017/1132 and work backwards to domestic statute. Beginning to read legalese is a bit like us all reading studies on sci-hub from 2011. The more you do it. The more you comprehend. As if by magic.
Quite a bit of work to be done. And no rest for the wicked.

Putting the main burden on the individual is a mistake (or just a dirty political trick). The whole society (politicians and citizens) should work together on systemically solving problems.

Agreed!

Why the hell do you think I'm bothering to talk to you.
Have a nice evening Kvirion.

Thank you, the same for you!

For the sake of my consciousness I'll add that it's very important to be wary of any psych meds and psychiatrists since very few have a moral compass of any sort, but you probably know this better than I.
Since this thread got derailed anyway: I thought I've seen it all, but there's always a new low, I guess. When I recently went to a psychiatrist I expected he'll notice I'm fishing for a welfare-able diagnosis and send me off to a therapist with maybe a SSRI prescription.
Instead, he has apparently made a diagnosis of schizophrenia in like five minutes (based on some bland description of talking to a voice in my head and general paranoia) and then basically walked me through the DSM symptoms. I.e. I'd say something such as "people generally don't like me and I feel they're talking about me negatively behind my back" and he would respond: "so you feel there's a sinister conspiracy against you?". Then he started pressuring me into taking antipsychotics and checking myself into a mental hospital for a weeks-long evaluation. The whole experience felt more like buying an used car than seeking health advice.
And it is downright scary when I think about how many credulous people who just are severely sleep deprived and under a lot of pressure will be shuttled into likely lifetime medication with dangerous drugs based on a not even a hour long visit. Now I'm even more paranoid.
-
@DonkeyDude Please be careful – we are in a time where almost everything can be pathologised and medicated. The consequences are dire in the long run.
This is a Corbett report on the DSM from a few years ago - things are ever worse now than they were.

Absolutely incredible...

Did you get the neetbux? -

Did you get the neetbux?
Getting it was going to be a months-long process and now I'm not sure if I want to continue. It was truly terrifying how as soon as this guy decided I'm a paranoid schizophrenic (which is supposed to be a months-long process rather than a snap diagnosis) he no longer approached me like an adult making a difficult decision but rather like some retarded child who needs to be forced into the system at any cost. And, despite insisting he's not giving me a final diagnosis (this was supposed to happen during hospitalization) he did prescribe an antipsychotic with terrible side effects (which he dismissed when I raised the issue).
Basically, right now I'm scared about the whole experience and the fact that the S-word might now be in my medical documentation. I'm paranoid that I might end up in some ward under "care" of a doctor like that; at this point even if I actually thought I do have schizophrenia I would take my chances on the outside of the system. I might try the anxiety/depression angle in the future, I'm not sure. Right now learning German and moving to Germany to take care of elders seems like a more appealing alternative. Maybe I would get some neetbux there.

@DonkeyDude
Good luck then. I think there is no other country in which it is easier to get neetbux than in Germany. Of course in general, I despise the welfare state system and people who abuse it, but since we are currently in an era of decline and we desperately need a major societal crisis, I encourage anyone to abuse the rotten system as much as possible to accelerate the inevitable. In regards to the medical system, yes, it's best to stay as far away from it as possible. The are only a few exceptions like trauma surgery when you have fallen from a rootop or something similar.
