    I have spoken with a friend about various thyroid supplementation, and he even has done work on sub-clinical hypothyroidism and prescribing thyroxine in off-label cases. However, he states that thyroid use in "normal" non-hypo patients would present with hair loss as a first sign and doesn't recommend thyroid supplementation in general. Are there articles about the effects of thyroid for hair (I remember reading it was beneficial for hair on an old RPF thread)? Additionally, any sources about why the biological ratio of T4/T3 is better than just straight T4 other than Ray previously stating it is more natural? Ty

        @oj It makes sense adding a bunch of t4 may end up being anti metabolic for some.
