Shilajit Peaty?

Been taking a few weeks for the “trace minerals” and detox benefits in sauna. Is it worth it from a bioenergetic perspective? Is there more going on under the hood metabolically? Anyone have experience with it, good or bad?
-
Word on the street is there’s a bunch of trace heavy metals in there too along with who knows what else.

The fulvic acid can probably move around heavy metals in the body similar to citric acid.I'm thinking detoxing is a very long process that happens more safely when you follow Ray's ideas.

@FOR-THE-POTATO very helpful, thanks

@b_well_insomnia You're welcome, I'm no expert, but I remember the bit Peat said about the citric acid in sour orange juice binding to metals and dropping them off wherever.

I watched this recently from the 48minute mark on, it's pretty slow up till the 48 min. He got into some fascinating stuff about co2 and how that, in my own words, keeps the train flowing, keeps the calcium out of the cell, pushes minerals along. That sounds like a steady detox to me, when the calcium is out of the cell perhaps that's when it can bind to things.Have you seen this video?

@LinDaiyu feared this

@FOR-THE-POTATO great info! Not seen the video yet. What’s the best ways to increase co2? Baking soda and bag breathing?
-
@b_well_insomnia I think everything Ray talks about is co2 friendly. Good thyroid function=good cellular respiration which means sugar can turn into co2. Probs why he is always mentioning thyroid.
Yes baking soda can and same with bag breathing and co2 baths. I'm sure there are a ton of other factors. Less estrogen, more co2. The right amount of pure salt, more co2. Vitamin K, more co2. Check out that video sometime it's sweet.

@FOR-THE-POTATO awesome, will do!

Sodium bicarb with acv in soda water. I think this would only work though if you could prevent the carbonic acid from escaping, so might wanna seal it in a bottle for a bit before you drink from it, and also make sure the bottle can withstand the pressure
Nose breathing, restricted breathing in general
Bag breathing, and Haidut had a modified suggestion a while back which was sticking a tiny hole at the bottom of one of those extra large water jugs and breathing through that, remembering to keep it upright the opposite way round to allow the co2 to build up when you aren't using it. Make sure to take relaxed breaths or it can make you very light headed and lower your blood pressure considerably to dangerous levels
