It shows promise that it can kill almost all gram negative and positive bacteria, and fungus. ("However, some strains of Gram-negative bacteria, such as E. coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, have shown resistance to thymoquinone in laboratory settings.").

It looks promising against a variety of viruses, too.

I can testify that after one dose of black cumin seed oil extract, my tongue and teeth was finally clean. I have had a time of fixing sibo and have had persistent effects thru the years, doing the merry go round of antibiotics, using some wrong which screwed me up.

Thymoquinone's only limitation is that it's only available source is in black cumin seed oil extract. Pure seed oil. To reach the recc'd dose a study found to be comparative to a triple dose antibiotic course, I have to take 4 teaspoons of the stuff to get the recommended 2 grams of thymoquinone! This absolutely killed my energy the whole day and gave me nausea -- I know it's not just the herx reaction because I felt the exact same way when I tried to use castor oil (and when I cooked with too much olive oil as a kid lol).

We need to get this stuff synthesized!

ALKALI SCIENTIFIC refunded my purchase of their synthesized thymoquinone (presumably because I'm not a lab/OfFiCiAl AdDrEsS), so any suggestions for where we could purchase would be awesome.

dangit found out that it raises ROS!

The question becomes, is a 3 week course worth the increase in ROS (with mitigating supps), to finally cure a difficult SIBO?

          Thoughts?

@LetTheRedeemed said in Thymoquinone could be the most potent gut cleaner:

any suggestions for where we could purchase

Nootropics Depot has an extract with a minimum of 10% thymoquinone

@NoeticJuice nice! so approx 2g (guessing that’s approx 1/2 tspoon of powder) of the 10% supp to match OP’s dose of 4 tsp oil.

@NoeticJuice there's some oil based ones that reached almost 25%

@sunsunsun ah I forgot to mention, these 4 teaspoons provided 2 grams of thymoquinone -- I forgot to mention that that was the recommended amount to replicate the triple stack antibiotic (forgot if it was 3 antibiotics or 3x dose -- I think it was 3 types)
