I started having sleep issue many years ago and kind of coordinated with pufa depletion as it started about 3 years after eating pufa free.
I’m sure you’ve likely seen the news articles by now about how they claim we use to be bi phasic with our sleeps. They say up until having so much artificial blue light we always slept in two parts waking in the middle of the night to do chores, be intimate, etc…
Anyway I’m wondering if this needing 8-9 hours of sleep every night that I had my whole life isn’t actually right and two huge factors that make that sleep cycle needed is Pufa and artificial light.
I haven’t cut out artificial light to see if the two sleep cycle is accurate but maybe cutting out PuFA does something just as severe to our sleep. On days I don’t sleep much I don’t really feel that tired during the following day it’s just frustrating laying in bed wide awake.
Maybe I’m not supposed to though idk…
