@S-Holmes I guess I was expecting something rather quickly based on his turning around a migraine inside 45 minutes, but typically I do find it takes a few weeks to a few months to see the benefits of various prometabolic strategies, so I’m sure you’re right.
Please do report back. I read his book a few years ago and it seemed like he was able to turn his health around, but I think his weakness is in editing. I think he has a tendency to overcomplicate his explanations, (might just be that I have a personal preference for simplicity). Nathan was user Natedawgg on the old forum for those who may not be familiar, (he was banned long ago).

@S-Holmes Wow! Thx. Super interesting.
I always enjoyed Nathan's post on the old RPF.I'd love to learn haidut's take on Nathan's findings with silicic acid.
-
@Regina that’s what had me so interested. I may be oversimplifying it, but I assume Nathan is using bamboo silica with lemon as almost an aspirin like substance. Given Haidut’s recent work on tumors with B vitamins and aspirin I thought perhaps we had that gold standard of two researchers reaching a similar conclusion independent of one another.

I hate the fact he was banned, it was probably for some bullshit. But on another matter, I don't like virtually anything that guy has to say. I think a lot of the people on RPF ended up fat because of this dude.

@S-Holmes Maybe it will. I'd like to hear updates, I just wouldn't stick with it if you start noticing exorbitant amounts of body fat starting to accumulate.
A high metabolism doesn't mean (bad) weight gain won't happen. And conversely, large amounts of calories doesn't mean a high metabolism.
-
@S-Holmes meaning you are adding the lemon juice? or a different product?
Thanks! -
@evan-hinkle Maybe the silicic acid is like Pyrucet?

@S-Holmes I bought and read FPC in October of 2022 when I had just had a cancer surgery and was terrified at the prospect of metastasis being discovered and potentially having to do chemo. Finding Nate’s book was definitely one of the best takeaways from the old forum.
I finally tried the sodium acetate for the first time two days ago, and I wish I hadn’t waited so long. I work a stressful job which requires me to do the kind of traveling and meeting customers which disrupts the sleep schedule pretty badly. I’m on a plane right now having woken up at 4:45 and gotten no more than 5 hours of sleep last night or the night before. I always felt miserable beyond belief doing this kind of thing in years past, and barely functional no matter how much coffee, whereas today I feel totally fine. I did also take Progest-E on the gums and Kuinone on the navel last night and the night before as well, but I’m familiar with the effects and I can’t ascribe nearly all of this incredible sense of wellness to the progesterone and K2. The sodium acetate is a game-changer.
I think the guy has really taken the big ideas of Peat’s work and applied them to nutrition in an unprecedented way. The book is 100% worth buying and reading.

@evan-hinkle I don't believe that Nathan was ever banned...

@tubert you can’t search by user on his name, that’s typically a sign of being banned. I want to say I read that somewhere in the forum though, (that he was banned) but this was years ago.
-
@evan-hinkle FWIW his user name was natedawggh I believe, not natedawgg
-
@evan-hinkle but if you are able to hover over his profile picture and you get a "last seen" status, then he is still on the forum....(which you can in his case)
