Yellowing of the skin

Ever since I can remember, I had a bit of yellowing on the palms of the hands and on the soles of my feet, and also around my mouth. But for the past year or so, I've noticed a yellowing of the eyelids. Usually I only had to worry about puffy face, which would improve as the day went by and I could attribute to sluggish thyroid. But yellow corners of the eyelids (no change in volume or texture) have me a little concerned. Is this a bilirrubin issue? What could I possibly try to make it better?

Have you ever had a cholesterol panel? Usually includes live enzymes. Yellowing of skin could be issue with liver.
