Ginkgo Biloba + Panax Ginseng peaty?
-
I've been taking 360mg of ginkgo biloba extract 50:1 and 1000mg of panax ginseng root extract containing 1% ginsenosides every morning for a week now and I've never felt so androgenic.
I've tried hundreds of supplements, plants, research molecules and pharmaceutical drugs, and the effect is a bit like a combination of nicotine and coffee that make me feel very calm, energetic and dominant.
I've also noticed a big improvement in my digestion, I can eat twice as much without the slightest sign of burping, bloating or flatulence.
What do you think?

That would be hard to answer. If it were "peaty" then that means at some point over Ray's life he said something favorable about it's effects. I don't recall Ray ever mentioning either of these, maybe someone else could chime in.
However, could these substances bioenergetic friendly? Possibly. Ginkgo is a natural aldosterone and cortisol antagonist. And Ginseng antagonizes certain serotonin receptors, 5-HT3 I think. Additionally, it's possible ginseng might also inhibit serotonin in the hypothalamus.
Which I personally think is probably the most dangerous type of serotonin considering elevated serotonin in the hypothalamus can suppress GnRH and basically shut down the whole hormone cascade. However it's inhibiting properties have only been confirmed in mice thus far, so it should probably be taken with a grain of salt.
Your improvement in digestion is likely from the 5-HT3 antagonism. As I see it there's nothing inherently dangerous about either of them.

I have heard georgi say good things about biloba, my understanding that it is also a serotonin antagonist.

I read somewhere on RPF that Peat spoke positively of adaptogens, a class of natural substances that includes ginseng.
With ginseng, quality matters. CheongKwanJang is known to be the real deal.
