What should I Keep track of when taking NDT?
-
I've ordered some NDT and it is yet to arrive. This would be my first time supplementing NDT. I've read somewhere that when taking NDT I need to supplement Magnesium. I'm not sure of the reason, I would appreciate if any one can tell me why. Is there like any other things that I should take note of when supplementing NDT?
Not sure if it matters but I'm balding NW2.5 but it's been stable since I started peating.
Thank you !

@PeatyICT Tracking Temperature and Puls is good, Bowel Movements and Sleep Quality also look into Dannys Thyroid Article https://dannyroddy.substack.com/p/demystifying-thyroid-supplementation

Additionally, of course weight, how you respond to food generally (feel like the best "test" is just how you feel), does your skin/ hair/ nails change?
Maybe do the Achilles Tendon Test to see wether reflexes get faster (sign T3 is doing its job)
For supplements, Mg is resposnbile for turning on over 5700 proteins, this is heck of a lot
Thyroid is responsible for literally anything, as it is critical in energy & energy is king, hence Mg to basically support your body for anything to come
B Vitamins, carbs, selenium, zinc are good things, but you don't need to supplement those when eating animal stuff
Thiamine or TTFD might be good tho to burn carbs off a lot more (works wonders pre workout for me)
Would also watch for root cause issues when you dialed in NDT dosage (mold is a huge one here, but also stealth infections & trauma)

@ElijahKrings Thank you! I had not heard about the Achilles tendon test before, will definitely test it out before the NDT arrives, and compare later on. I have become hypo after eating Macs for lunch and dinner for the past 11 years (2012 -2023). Found Peat's principles in mid 2023, and just cutting out the pufa made me feel and look so much better. Still a lot of junk to clear out, so thinking NDT will help in accelerating the process.
