It's probably the porn bro, it really fucks with the dopamine networks. It's not masturbation, it's porn. If you can jerk off like they did in the old days, just thinking about whatever turns you on, then it wouldn't be as bad. Best course of action is to take a detox from all of it. Don't masturbate at all for a couple weeks, and quit porn entirely. Only then can we start to ponder some sort of medical issue. But I don't buy the wider vein theory at all, that urologist sounds dumb as fuck. If they're wider then both outflow AND inflow will be increased. Capillary expansion plays a bigger role in the erectile process, allowing blood to pool. This can be hampered by calcification or NO deficiencies. In fact NO deficiency in the neurons (nNOS) will prevent the spontaneous erection from happening. You know, that type of boner that occurs without you doing anything or touching yourself.

@kgsh1 PDE5 inhibitors won't increase neuronal nitric oxide. In fact they don't increase nitric oxide at all. They just prevent the breakdown of cGMP which keeps NO active longer. Try drinking pomegranate juice two to three times a day, this will increase nNOS.

@kgsh1 Take vitamin D, and eat a diet that prioritizes fruits, vegetables, and dairy, with only minimal amounts of grains, meat, fish, and egg. That way you can keep parathyroid hormone (PTH) suppressed and lower your calcification.

Vitamin D also has some independent mechanisms besides it's effects on calcium metabolism that may be helpful. Like keeping the androgen receptors sensitive and healthy.

SSRI meds will fuck with your boners too, so maybe look into alternatives if you're on one. An SARI, like Trazadone, for example, would be less problematic on your sex life.

You could try some P5P to keep prolactin suppressed. But I don't think that's your main issue. Reducing porn consumption should be your main goal.

High as in above the reference range? Maybe reduce your dosage a little. Somewhere between 2,500-5,000IU's is best for most people.

@kgsh1 Interesting, I guess just back off the sun a little. You're lucky to live in a place where you can get enough sun like that. Even in the summer, where I'm at it's always semi-cloudy, except for late June to July.
