Sun allergy (polymorphous light eruption)
-
I developed sun allergies when i was 12, visiting Italy. Over the years it has come and gone, especially when in the southern parts of Europe.
However, after adopting a peaty diet, the eruptions has been worse, and even the spring sun in Northern Europe triggers it. I tan a lot faster now, but i’m not sure if there is a connection between the two. I do not get allergies on my face, but i seem to get it pretty much everywhere else, especially where the skin is thinner (chest, behind knees, traps..).
Does anyone here have any experience with PLE? Is it related to higher levels of Histamine? I do get seasonal allergies, but not as bad as when i was a kid.

Have you tried taking anti-histamines before going in the sun?

@Master I take antihistamines for hayfever during summer but when I don't I notice I'm more likely to get skin rashes from the sun. They defo help.
