Magnesium dosing

@CO3 looser stool or if you go way past then yes diarrhea
-
@Solrig - You may be healthier now and you do not need to supplement as much.
Ray Peat Email Exchanges -Magnesium
[RDA for magnesium, 420 mg for an adult]
With the average diet, that amount is enough. Good thyroid function, and plenty of calcium, potassium, and sodium can decrease the amount of magnesium needed. -
@DavidPS that's what I was thinking.
Been supplementing for years so maybe my body stores are higher with it. The body does store it.
-
@DavidPS also thanks for taking the trouble to post that quote

@Solrig Good. keep going. diarrhea will not persist, it often is a symptom when i do the right things for about a day. this is not a 'but the detox' type of advice it's pretty much a very fast improvement. i think the gut motility suddenly increasing, and a change in the membrane causes it. You do you but that's what i learned by using a ton of magnesium over the years. It's an increidble thing, unlike most of the stupid supplements people take
-
@CO3 yes it will persist. Every time I go over a certain amount, I get loose stool. Why would I ignore my bodys messages and force it to adapt?
-
@Solrig Read it again retard. You do whatever you want. Pussy
-
@CO3 it's ok we know you're an Incel. Hopefully peats work helps heal you. Also your reading comprehension is next to zero. In the original thread I wrote I've been taking it for years. It's almost as if you didn't read a word of it but just wanted any opening to brag about your brain dead habits of forcing stuff into ur body.
-
@Solrig yeah i'm stone cold incel. i live in a parallel world where women hate handsome, tall, kind and well-read men. all the women here are dating guys like you so i got no chance
for years you've had diarrhea every single day? sounds like you're fucking braindead.
-
@CO3 you are an Incel I can tell by your rage. You live vicariously through your screen, imposing ur bad advice just to feel anything. You don't even know what ur enraged at. You're just enraged
-
@CO3 718 posts! Wow just wow. You're prolactin levels are so high from staying indoors all the time that your man boobs need a bra at this point.
-
@Solrig oh wow that is too much lol, but no i'm fit and not pooping myself for months at a time because i'm too stupid
-
@CO3 your posts don't even make sense so your neither emotionally or mentally fit from your rage posts

@Solrig said in Magnesium dosing:
When I first started taking magnesium years ago, I could take way more before reaching bowel tolerance, like a 1/4 tsp of magnesium glycinate. Now I can only handle 1/16 of a teaspoon. Why is that?
You might be deficient in thiamine. Supplementing thiamine improves tolerance for magnesium. Someone already posted that the recommended amount needed daily is around 400mgs. However, you are using magnesium glycinate and the daily needed (400mg+or-) is pure magnesium.
The magnesium glycinate that I take recommends taking 3500mgs/day; this equals to 400mg pure magnesium. This equals to around 3/4 teaspoon. I divide mine into 2 doses, one am, one before bed. See info here: https://purebulk.com/products/magnesium-glycinate
