I caught a "cold" and have been taking Ivermectin daily for about 3 weeks (in case it was covid, again). The Ivermectin has caused a flare up of my fibromyalgia, which had been greatly reduced/controlled using glucose therapy. I did more reading and found that both Ivermectin (AND Fenbendazole) block glycolysis. It seems blocking the body's ability to make ATP is the opposite of what we want, isn't it? Isn't this also how metformin works? Am I way off base here?

Ivermectin (and Fenbendazole) block glucose by inhibiting what are called GLUT transporters. Dr Peat and Georgi claim Ivermectin can cause brain damage. The brain must have glucose or it will die. Blocking these transporters seems like a bad idea.

I've been taking Fenbendazole for weeks and recently began alternating with Ivermectin. I've developed reduced appetite, reduced gut motility, wounds stopped healing, extreme fatigue, fibromyalgia has flared, and overall feeling of unwellness. I don't think I'll be taking Ivermectin or Fenbendazole anymore. If I do it will be for 2 or 3 days, every 6 months, if that often.

So if Ivermectin can cause brain damage by blocking glucose to the brain, Dr. Stephens (glucose therapy) may be on to something.

We have a 60 year old relative who takes a daily dose of Fenbendazole to prevent a recurrence of colon cancer. (It went into "remission" following surgery and other conventional treatments.) Everyone in the family agrees that he has lost his mind. Is it from the Fenbendazole? After digging on this for days I'm afraid I have to say I believe so.
