hello everybody. at some point back in April of last year, i guess i started snoring in my sleep, much to the detriment of gf. its severity fluctuates, but it remains a problem today. googling and RPF etc. yielded little in the way of solutions over my time looking. practical mechanical stuff like nose strips or mouth taping apparently have not helped. been following Peat principles in the diet strongly but not obsessively for about nine years now, only daily supplementation is baking soda (teaspoons whenever i feel) and aspirin (1-3 GeriCare tablets, again, as i feel). no significant change occurred last April that i can assign as cause for this annoyance. some subtle change in my breathing? relation to CO2? i don't know. i'd simply like to hear any potential adjustments i could try to make to correct this issue. thanks to anyone who can help.

@hammerandburner If you're fat, losing weight might help. Other than that, Buteyko breathing, mewing and getting rid of foods with inflammatory/allergenic ingredients will open up the airways.

@pilky is there a resource you can recommend to help me understand mewing? i've been perpetually confused by the concept even after googling a few times, i never saw a straightforward guide lol

How old are you, what about your body fat, how is your nasal septum, do you smoke cigarettes, and what's your position during sleep?

I think it's largely related to the variables I mentioned

How is "mewing" supposed to fix a partial deviated septum, fake peater?

@Fructose 29; no idea how to tell honestly but let's go with 20% (i can stand to lose some fat and am lifting regularly, 6'0" 180lb); my right nostril has dryness problems in the Winter but otherwise normal; no cigs; side sleeping, both sides with preference to left side
