@alex155 T3 is the main inducer of 5 alpha-reductase. Hypothyroid organisms tend to express 5 alpha reductase enzyme at lower expressions, but they express 5 beta reductase at higher concentrations. So all their steroids are mainly metabolised into 5 beta-reduced steroids and rather than 5 alpha-reduced steroids, like DHT or allopregnenolone. Conversely, hyperthyroid organisms express 5 alpha reductase enzymes at higher expressions, and the 5 beta reductase at lower concentrations, which causes more of their steroids to be converted into 5 alpha reduced metabolites like DHT.

The ratio of the 5-alpha reductase and 5-beta reductase metabolites of a steroid can show the 5 alpha-reductase expression levels. The ratio of alloTHF/THF ratio shows the rate cortsiol is metabolised into it's 5 alpha reduced metabolite (alloTHF), compared to it's 5 beta reduced metabolite (THF), as is therefore an indicator of 5 alpha reductase levels.

        https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16402926/

A study showed that "The urinary alloTHF/THF ratio was significantly higher in the hyperthyroid patients and significantly lower in the hypothyroid patients than in the controls." This displays that hyperthyroid patients have more 5 AR than hypothyroid patients, highlighting the significance of T3 in regulating 5 alpha reductase levels.

@alex155 T4 (thyroxine) should also work. You can also import T3 from other countries. My country also doesn't have T3, so I import it from the USA.

Inhibiting prolactin also increases the expression of 5 alpha-reductase, and androgens such as DHEA and Testosterone also increase the expression of 5 alpha-reductase.
