      Hi
I've been using about 800mg of caffeine as part of my morning coffee for my breakfast for a certain period of time now, and the bioenergetic effects of coffee have begun to be outweighed by some of its drawbacks. For instance, my caffeine metabolism has developed to the point that I enjoy its effects when it peaks around ~15 minutes or so after taking it. After half an hour I can barely feel it and I feel exactly the same an hour later as I did before taking it.

My theory is that I am experiencing some sort of adenosine rebound or perhaps even a compensatory parasympathetic response. My current diet is about 3800 calories with all major micronutrients covered. I have regular blood tests and I am in a healthy range in nearly every category except for the liver (moderate damage due to being alcoholic before). Is there any way to get around this? I love coffee but I don't want to start having 2-3 grams a day since I enjoy restorative sleep.
