Subclinical Varicocele, in attempt to fix it before it progresses worse
Currently doing regular daily stretches for the pelvic floor, hip flexors, psoas, TRE (trauma and tension release exercise), twists, bridges, yoga, cardio (no sprinting; running; bicycle riding; carefully selected for the least increase of IAP and vein stress), diet on point even before this occured (animal based no dairy except kefir once a month with lots of raw fruit in general and lately lean meats, no iron overload or other issues), considering magnesium bicarbonate water, figuring out cremaster muscle strengthening (been hanging low all my life, ideally it should be uptight, even slightly going inside on orgasm), rebounding without a trampoline, healing frequencies, Horse Chestnut Extract + Rutin (180mg Aescin and 600mg rutin divided over 3 capsules during the day), glute walking, avoiding weights or lifting of any sort, axial extensions, leg raising sometimes as needed, trying to gain more weight in case it's because of Nutcracker Syndrome (bigger internal fatpad, I'm lean)
I have weak abs, glutes 100%
I don't want to have to deal with this all my life, considering I'm not even old. Any other ideas on what I can do to heal or help healing meanwhile? Heard about DMSO on scrotum, pelvic and stomach area potentially helping clear up calcium (had been taking high doses, applied topically down there and taken orally Vitamin D3 +K2 MK-7 + E olive oil [no other ingredients]

Topic al aspirin, progesterone and or vitamin e might help -
@abokapo0514 Hey try out vit e or aspirin topically on testis and report back with a update

@abokapo0514
Someone asked Ray Peat about that topic:Post in thread 'Ray Peat Email Advice Depository'
https://lowtoxinforum.com/threads/ray-peat-email-advice-depository.1035/post-396712Ray on varicocele:
"I think they develop because of an excess of cortisol relative to DHEA and pregnenolone. That imbalance is likely to occur with low protein intake, low thyroid, and low vitamins D and A."
So I would make sure Iām getting enough
Protein (milk, eggs, jello, chicken wings, liver, seafood, shellfish..)
Thyroid hormone
Vitamin D (Orange juice, sunlight..)
Vitamin A (liver, eggs..)
in my diet. -
@lobotomize-me Vitamin E topically doesn't help, as far as aspirin I'm not sure it would help if applied on testicles because varicocele generally occurs in the ab/pelvis region, and can have multiple causes (Nutcracker Syndrome, Pelvic Congestion Syndrome [both fall under the category of the veins being squeezed therefore causing the swollen veins], varicocele thrombosis [blood clot somewhere in the pathway of the veins causing poor blood flow], bad venous return and flow, and possibly more factors and variants, then again I'm not 100% positive I have varicocele [could very well be a hidden hernia, fascial/muscular tension/injury], original story of how it occurred was testicle pain one day suddenly [raising my legs up or laying down didn't help], went to the ER laid down and got told that there might be a small case of varicocele just not enough to be considered a diagnosis, person who checked me out was a medical urologist resident, not yet a doctor and still had years to go, didn't check the pelvic region, lower back or the prostate, only the testicles which probably sums up to the inexperience)
Along side the supplement mentioned of Horse Chestnut Extract and Rutin, I was taking Nattokinase which also seemed to help, can't confirm for sure, but the final weeks of taking it were painless, what I am considering is taking a diosmin & hesperidin complex supplement which in medical studies does well on varicose veins in general, there's also this study where they used Gui zhi Fu Ling Wan at 7.5g per day for 3 months and there was an 80% varicocele disappearence (40/50 people) [I will try to figure out a way to get my hands on the specific Chinese medicine mentioned]
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8982445/The pain itself currently is nowhere near as worse as first time I got it (only been like 2 months since the story mentioned above), I would say it's rather extremely mild now (and only in rare cases of extreme heat or too much stress), so as far as some improvement there has been a lot of progress with the methods used in my post, I will also implement front leg stretches since I did hear a success story on the ray peat forum just from this specific stretch (and I do have difficulty with it, so I might be on to something), doesn't hurt to try

@16characterstwas Vitamin D shouldn't be an issue, spending enough time in the sun and getting it dietary wise, I won't supplement with it (or any vitamins for now other than dietary) again since I possibly might've overdosed it (Hypervitaminosis D) even if it was with K2 MK-7
As far as Thyroid Hormone, I will have to check that on a future blood test
On Vitamin A I usually don't get the 100% RDA (talking only from animal sources, I do have a carrot or two a day raw that does bump it up well in Cronometer, but chances are vegetable sources of Vitamin A doesn't convert well, it's also possible Cronometer might be inaccurate too)
For protein, what is considered as enough or low protein intake (e.g. for g/kg)?

@abokapo0514 hawthorn berry perhaps, it has circulation benefits anyway.
-
have you considered gotu kola?
it has some unique chemicals that target veins and circulation and improve veins
-
@Wabi-sabi I will give it a try.
@wester130 I have not tried it yet.Just trying to be careful about taking multiple herbs/enzymes at once since I'm not trying to make the situation worse.
