    The types I know are virgin, refined, partially hydrogenated & fully hydrogenated.
    Which is the best?

      @dt Peat recommended the refined, fully-hydrogenated kind iirc, as the residual starch in virgin unrefined can be allergenic for some. But the starch does add some coconut flavor, so if you tolerate it well and enjoy the flavor it's probably fine

        @herayclitus what about a partially hydrogenated oil? It's the only one I can get here. Is it better than regular refined?

          @dt In general I think the more hydrogenated it is, the more it will be like fully saturated fat. Partially hydrogenated should be fine, as even unrefined coconut oil only has trace amounts of PUFA
