Pure Nicotine

Is this Peaty? If so, how would you consume it? -
@DirlewangerSneed Iβve thought about soaking toothpicks in this

@DirlewangerSneed Am currently trying this. It is having a good effect applied topically in reducing high stress states (likely caused by high cortisol or adrenalin or both) including those happening in middle of night (a drop or two calms the stress state (cortisol? adrenalin?) down immediately and I can go back to sleep instead of feeling like I'm about to have a heart attack) Sleep generally improved.
Am avoiding oral use as all the literature points to it having a negative effect on periodontal health.
I am going to write this in the smallest of words but there might...just might... be an effect on weight loss (which I actually attribute to its anti stress benefits ie high cortisol / adrenalin / eostrogen)
Partner applied topically to big toe joint it seems to have resolved a gout attack but the attack had been going on for some weeks so this could have resolved anyway. Gout for partner happens regularly so we can certainly try this again.
Applied topically to two finger joints it seems to be reducing inflammation there.
Pinker skin. Feeling warmer. -
@DirlewangerSneed While nicotine is an aromatase inhibitor and has many other benefits, iirc nicotine effects your metabolism in a bad way by raising stress hormones. Ironically smoking nicotine removes many negative effects of it. But smoking it is obviously carcinogenic.
I guess you could negate a lot of the bad effects of smoking by drinking coffee or taking vitamin E. -
@DirlewangerSneed a company called pixotine makes toothpicks with 3mg nicotine and veg glycerin, unflavored, quite inexpensive. I enjoy them.

@mazedaze Thanks for the contribution... this is what I've found. More fundamentally, do you think there's a fundamental advantage of nicotine over niacinamide?
I've heard it's upstream nature being beneficial, but never found a definitive conclusion

I used nicotine patches (1 week only) for mine and my mothers long covid. They helped me some, and really helped with her breathing issues.
