how to get the most out of a sauna

I'm going to a spa that has a dry sauna and a cold plunge pool. Any ideas about how to get the most out of it? What (not) to eat/drink before/after? Supplements that increase benefits?

@snack_log Aspirin and fruit juice, that said I don't believe either of those things are physiologically helpful, but otherwise a good spa experience certainly can be!
