Are you going to be using any kind of nasal sprays?

I've been exploring the whole mold/mycotoxin thing for a while, and the best practitioner that I have found on the topic is Evan Brand ( here's a podcast with him that I liked). I highly recommend that you check him out. He's not the "mold guy" per se, but he does talk about it alot. He also goes over things like SIBO, and parasites.

Anyways, he's treated a couple thousand patients at this point ( I think), so he is definitely a credible source on this topic. He mentioned that airborne mycotoxins are one of the biggest problems. However a good chunk of patients that he sees also have intestinal or nasal fungal colonies which also release mycotoxins.

From what I've learned from his videos and podcasts, an intranasal spray like Xlear Rescue would be a good idea as an anti-fungal, and also some binders to bind the mycotoxins. If you really want to attack this with all you've got, you could also get a urine mycotoxin test (which is like $300-500), which will really let you know which mycotoxins are the issue. Then you can buy the appropriate binders and try to clean them out that way.

      Here's a chart if you're curious.

Actually, I feel like part of the reason that the anti-vitamin A idea caught some traction could be because the increased fiber is helping eliminate mycotoxins. I feel like that's certainly a possibility, since reducing bile absorption will increase fat-soluble mycotoxin elimination, assuming your bowels are moving quickly enough.

@S-Holmes Keep the thread updated, I'm curious how you will end up fixing this issue.

@brightside Wow! Im already taking several sups on his chart! Since I don't yet know exactly which fungi I'm plagued with, I'll use the scattergun approach. Will be more regular with the chitosan and chlorella, I now take 10 to 15 charcoal caps one or two nights a week, and sporebased probiotics daily. I may go back on a prebiotic and cascara sagrada for bowel health.

            Thanks for the good info!

Ah, gotcha. What do you feel from the chlorella?

For what it's worth, I don't think that the chart is fully accurate, at least on the cholestyramine. I have never gotten benefits from charcoal, but a single dose of the cholestyramine will clear up my vision very dramatically for a day or so. According to the chart, CSM only binds ochratoxin, but I'm pretty sure that inhibiting bile absorption will eliminate more than just the ochratoxin. CSM probably just doesn't bind to the others directly.

I just started the chlorella a few days ago. I haven't really noticed anything yet. Can the cholestyramine be purchased without a scrip?

@S-Holmes No, unfortunately. I got some from Mexico, but it’s really pricey. According to Evan, it’s also bad for mitochondria, which makes sense, it’s a plastic resin after all.

I see. I’m going to receive some chlorella soon, so I will be experimenting with that too.

LOTS of mucus. Sinuses swollen shut, esp at night when I try to sleep.

I don't really have much mitochondria to spare. I got stem cells 6 months ago (IV and ethically sourced) and they helped a little but not sure I got my money's worth!

Let me/us know if chlorella helps you.

I HAVE had that and forgot! It was just a small area right on my browbone. Very sore, esp when I pushed on or rubbed it. It finally went away.

yeah exact same spot for me too, a sore sharp pain. i had a hunch it's related to my loss of smell and i think it might be messing with my vision too, since i thought it was an eye pain for the longest time... any idea what cleared it up for you?

Haidut: Did you see the new studies that came out with COVID patients entering the hospital? The ones that didn't survive, more than 80% already had some level of lactic acidosis before even getting admitted to the hospital?

Ray Peat: Yeah, I think the lactic acid is starting with endotoxin. Lactic acid produced under the influence of endotoxin becomes the agent of all of the problem symptoms. Blood clotting, increased serotonin effects of all sorts, inflammatory, swelling, congestion, edema of the lungs and the brain, all of those things are activated by the lactic acid.

A successful depopulation agenda requires high excess death rates, lower birth rates and for the majority to vilify those that question it.

Lingering sinus symptoms and endotoxin? Maybe the old horseradisch peroxidase treatment wouldn't hurt?

Sorry to quote Nate here again but at least he supplied some instructions:

                                          NP, very welcome.

I had actually performed a protocol for 10 or so days last year, then did it every second or third day till the bottle was nearly finished. I didn't have any endotoxin concerns but had always wondered about my sinus cavities, a just in case thing.

@BioEclectic I definitely have sinus issues (my entire life) and had a CT scan on my sinuses (head) last week. Blood work, many doctor visits (likely futile) and possibly surgery are in my near future. It would be amazing if these easy hacks take care of the problem! I'm also going to ramp up the sodium acetate.
