A good marker for metabolic activity is how much heat you can feel around the top of your head. Your brain should be WORKING.

@Fructose Anecdotal n=1 experience. Correlates strongly with overall body temp and brain speed, and I often notice and make a note of it.

@luddite I have this too. I noticed that the hotter I am, the better I function cognitively.
