Why did I randomly start finding meat disguisting

Kg of sorghum has 20mg of zinc. Now yes its in a plant but if we have it with orange juice that should up the absorption
Interesting, I haven't really tried sorghum before. I remember reading someone claimed it increased DHT, so might be something worth looking into.
I think grains, especially if they've been soaked or sprouted, is probably way better than legumes. I think Peat was even eating oatmeal and oat bran about a year before his death. So clearly he believed there was some nutritional benefit to them.
Lower protein diets is something I've done before. I actually solved several issues doing it but I was also hypothyroid and not on thyroid replacement at the given time. In my own opinion, excessive gluconeogenesis is just as much an issue if not more of an issue than excessive lipolysis for hypo people.
Low protein diets will suppress gluconeogenesis, ACTH, and cortisol. So your liver glycogen will very likely get higher, which is good. In that respect, it probably is very "peaty." And one of Peat's last interviews with Danny, I think even he was chasing some sort of low-protein hypothesis. Not sure what it was because I don't recall a follow up to the topic.
Here's the thing, I quit doing it because I was concerned the weight loss I was experiencing was muscle mass. I can not say this for sure, because all I was using was scales at the time, and not watching my measurements with tape. I noticed I would get gassed more easily with squats and deadlifts too. So given all of this. it started to scare me enough to start upping my protein again.
It all worked out in the end though, because after I found a thyroid routine that worked for me I noticed I wouldn't get those dips into stress metabolism every 2-3 hours.

@peater Try shrimp, oysters, and scallops. I like those better than red meat
-
Losing insterest in red meat could mean you have too much iron or zinc or not enough copper, gelatin, and carbs.
Test serum ferritin and tranferrin saturation.

@peater were you possibly bitten by a tick. A lot of people here in SW MO have gotten it and don't eat meat anymore as it makes them sick. I read of a possible cure last summer but can't remember for sure but i think it is ivermectin or some other parasite fighting protocol.
-
@peater Did you read my reply?
-
@hwisdom How do i parasite cleanse?
-
@mm33 I had alot of ticks on me from being outside last summer, but that is allergy to meat, not disguist to meat.
-
@CO3 Yes.
-
@peater opt nr.1 is by using ivermectin which is gonna be hard to do since they banned it bcus it cured covid + a buncha other shit (thats bcus viruses are just small ass parasites https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21413309/#:~:text=Viruses are small obligate intracellular,%2C virus-coded protein coat.
but if you don't have ivermectin (which you prolly don't) you can consider doing a 3-7 day water fast (+ electrolytes) during the full moon (thats when parasites are basically gonna be more suceptable but doing it on an avg day is also fine)

@hwisdom what a joke.
-
@CO3 ???
-
@hwisdom it never cured 'covid'. the guy just doesn't want meat whcih has all kinds of nutritional issues, so why are you munchhausing him?
-
@CO3 1. wdym by "covid"? do you like believe in terrain theory n shit?
if it didn't cure covid, why would they ban it so much + right a fuck ton of articles abt it? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/aug/23/fda-horse-message-ivermectin-covid-coronavirus- so ur saying that red meat is shite? how r u then gonna get ur taurine/glycine + sphingolipids + syrine + choline + cholesterol + 5 gazzillion other micros?
what abt organs?
the guy doesn't only hate muscle meat he hates EVERYTHING red meat (this includes bone broth!!!!!!!!!!!) (pretty sure thats what he said)
- so ur saying that red meat is shite? how r u then gonna get ur taurine/glycine + sphingolipids + syrine + choline + cholesterol + 5 gazzillion other micros?

Could be the dietary acid load of meat causing you to feel disgusted by the thought of eating it especially after consuming kilos per day, this has happened to me in the past. Grains in excess can have a high dietary acid load as well, so if you are combining the two in high amounts without sufficiently offsetting it then its only a matter of time before you get disgusted by the thought of eating more of it.
Try some shrimp or chicken wings cooked in coconut oil to give you a break from red meat, see if you feel better on those. If you are having rice try replacing it with red skin potatoes as well. More importantly, instead of having kilos of meat per day, drop down to 113g/4oz max per meal for a while.

@CO3 ”what a joke” ”dude” how about you try to tell me whats wrong with my arguments straight away instead of milking online social interactions for an ego boost?
-
@oldchem won’t baking soda + drinking a fuck ton of water be better at fixing the issue instead? This way stomach acid will get diluted and the pH will go up

With regard to parasites:
“…Did you say with parasites? Yes, someone with parasites. The first thing is to get rid of the parasites and sometimes a change of diet. If they're in the intestine, just a radical change of diet, like a very high fiber diet sometimes is all it takes, or having more digestible foods, sometimes flowers of sulfur is enough to get rid of certain parasites. Amoebas, for example, sometimes are eliminated by just a small amount of flowers of sulfur. Other times, things like ivermectin, they work against a great variety of parasites.” Ray Peat -
@hwisdom I mean I thought it might be clear. Obviously if it's 'righted' about a bunch that would be a reason to assume it's completely irrelevant.

I agree. It is unclear to me if Peater has actually eaten any red meat lately. He may have found the thought too disqusting. He needs to eat red meat to see if he has a physical reaction. he could use a variation of the Mary Poppins protocol.
