      Jiaogulan is sometimes referred to as a poor man's ginseng. This is recent article (March 2024) indicates that it is useful for growing hair in mice (and men?).

      In Figure 1 the control is compared to Gynostemma pentaphyllum leaf hydrodistillate (GPHD) and minoxidil.
