I’ve found great sunscreens but none that ship to Europe, I will only use it on my face and I want one with as little harmful ingredients as possible of course. Any tips?

@odiniccold Refined coconut oil alone may work to some extent, whilst also being moisturising. But if that isn't enough then an emulsion of safe fats with zinc oxide is probably best.

I have bought this before and it seemed alright but to be honest I didn't feel much point using it where I am in the UK lol.

@onliest Thank you! Seems very interesting, have you tried it yourself?

Coconut oil with a little iodine mixed in. Or coconut oil with zinc oxide. I can confirm that both work.

But by far the best skin protection is PUFA abstention and depletion.

Digging in another forum turned up a few more ideas, internal aspirin or niacinamide applied externally. Not sure of the best way to homebrew a niacinamide concoction but if it were me i'd dissolve between 50 to 100mg of it into 6-8oz of very warm coconut oil.

I wouldn't use a microwave to warm up any of the ingredients, they tend to ruin things.

Disclaimer: these are simply ideas and not advice, they are tailored for adults only.

@odiniccold, I use this sunscreen from Suntribe when mountain climbing and the company ships worldwide:

                https://suntribesunscreen.com/product/suntribe-natural-zinc-sunscreen-face-sport-spf30/

It comes in both Original White and a tinted version called Mud Tint—it’s tinted with organic cocoa powder. For reference, I’m extremely fair and the Original White is still slightly visible on my skin so if you have any bit of a tan and don’t care for the Casper look, you may want to go with the tinted version if you decide to try it. 🙂

@odiniccold I've put it on my face before tanning in UV 8-9 for about 50 minutes on several occasions. My shoulders were burnt but my face was just fine.
