Peating made me, an half asian soy, grow a beard, lose the smell gene
-
Perhaps my title is a little bit of an exaggeration, but genetically I do not make much sense and am writing this to document some real life changes that in retrospect I can look back and be amazed by.
For my entire early life, I was destroyed. I was forced on antidepressants and more when I was 13 years old, killing my thyroid. I found ray peat years later to try and correct it.
The first months, I had intense diarrhea, I was stupid with my nutrients and did retarded things like drink a gallon of orange juice every day, and since my job was a desk job, would literally induce hyperglycemia.
Anyways, I have it figured out now. My nutrients are balanced and I feel happy, hopeful, and grateful to be alive. Every day is a pleasure.
Some surprising side effects:
I am half korean, I used to not have any body odour because I had the gene. Recently I have been told that I now have a very powerful odor. Some friends who I lived with for a long time, told me it is a recent development and indeed, I only recently started to smell. I like this.My facial structure changed.. significantly. Very much more dimorphic.
My eyes became slightly lighter in colour. I have genetically dark eyes, but comparing pictures, they have lightened a touch.
Voice deepened, nothing happened since puberty I always had high pitched voice, now deep
I grew a beard. My dad did not have a beard, and I had no signs of beard beforehand.
I am more witty, and walk with my head up because I now know I have the strength to get back up if I fall down. Not much bothers me except for my long term goals which keep me up at night (in a good way). Right now I am killing it.
I won't write out my procedure, it is the result of years of trial and error and I believe highly individualized. However if anybody has any questions, for each change I can make some guesses to what might have affected it if anybody happens to have questions.

@ffrench Nice story. I have some questions: what's your protein sources and do you take gelatin/glycine/k2 supplements?
-
@edouard i do take glycine and k2. i like smoked salmon, eggs, steak, just whatever.
-
@ffrench sometimes when i eat chicken i just convert it into broth so that and marshmallows/gummy bears serve as gelatin sources.
-
@ffrench I have to add because otherwise it doesnt make much sense, I do walk about 20-30k steps a day which is somewhat unusual and do ju jitsu, swimming, and regular lifting when I feel like it. so very active and eat a whole lot based on that.
I find as long as I get enough core nutrients I can eat whatever else I want

@ffrench Thanks for your answers man!
