What have you found most effective for raising body temp?
-
Struggling with low temps, been trying to work in more carbs, coconut oil etc, but not seeing an increase.
X post here with some other details and some responses https://twitter.com/AndyJScott/status/1753448061316071826
Any thoughts? What has worked best for you if you had similar problem?

@AJdaJuiceman Although everybody here automatically attributes low body temp to be caused by hypothyroidism, thiamine deficiency can cause it too. Drinking sugared coffee would make a thiamine deficiency worse as sugar uses up thiamine and coffee blocks thiamine function. Eating lots of carbs would make a thiamine deficiency worse.
A pretty simple way to determine if your problem with low body temperature is the result of a thiamine deficiency/functional blockage is to simply take some thiamine hcl, say 300-350mgs, with water only, 30 minutes away from eating/drinking anything else. Check your response to it. When I tried it, my body temperature rose a full degree to 98.6, my brain fog lifted, and all my inflammation/pain disappeared within 45 minutes. Of course, your results could be less dramatic than mine were yet you could still have a thiamine issue. Thiamine deficiencies are more common that main stream medicine believes.

@mostlylurking I take 170mg benfotiamine with my breakfast, should double that or would the thiamine hcl have a different effect?
-
@AJdaJuiceman I've found that taking my thiamine at least 30 minutes away from eating and taking it with water only makes a huge difference. It could be that simple. I'd try that first. Then, you could consider increasing the dose if you think it would be helpful.
I have more experience with thiamine hcl because that is the one I take myself. I follow Dr. Costantini's protocol. He had excellent results with thiamine hcl when treating his Parkinson's Disease patients. His protocol describes the amount of thiamine hcl needed when taken orally to equal to a 100mg injection of thiamine hcl. This is based on body weight. For me, it is 1 gram of thiamine hcl, 2Xday, taken with water only and 30 minutes away from consuming food/juices. I don't know how to extrapolate that information to your type of thiamine, sorry.

@mostlylurking thanks. i checked and I actually take 2 pills for 300mg

@AJdaJuiceman Are you getting at least 20 grams of sodium chloride daily?
-
@lucasmenem Probably, yes. I really like salt. I had problems with electrolytes early in 2021 after I increased my thiamine hcl to 1 gram, 2Xday. My chiropractor pointed out that lack of electrolytes were probably part of my issue at that time. So I made a point to eat a salty meal every day (frittata with kalamata olives, feta cheese, etc.) and made sure to drink my OJ for the potassium. I was relying on too much milk and gelatin at that time and it got me into trouble.
Oops. I see now that your post wasn't addressed to me. Sorry.

@AJdaJuiceman You're welcome.

@lucasmenem ive been getting 5g sodium lately

A warm tea or coffee with about 1-2 tbsp of gelatin powder and honey seems to do the trick for me. Drank this with a bit of aspirin the other day and had to take my shirt off I was getting so hot.

Thyroid and taurine

50-100mg pregnenolone with 400 IU Vitamin E.
I have unusually low temp usually but if I take this, my wife starts asking me whether I'm sick or have a fever. It's very effective.
