Optimal PEATY thyroid levels?
-
Anyone have a clear optimal thyroid panel range that’s Peaty? I can’t for the life of me find a clear reference range on (free)T3/T4 and TSH ala Peat on the forums.

@Jonnie The standard ranges for free T3/T4 are an appropriate guideline but it's almost useless analysing the these, especially if you're not also measuring RT3. IF all other hormones are balanced and you are metabolically healthy you should see a TSH <1. However, TSH can be suppressed by cortisol and other hormones in various states of pathology, so a low TSH is not a reliable indicator of thyroid health by itself. If the TSH is too high (anything above 1 is sub-optimal, above 2 I would consider significantly inflammatory) then you should aim to lower it. Simultaneous cortisol, DHEA, Testosterone, Cholesterol, temp, pulse tests can help provide context.

I remembered Peat saying the current average reference range is out of wack though, because they keep adjusting it. I just want to remember what he said and have a clear schematic of all the ranges ala Peat.

@Jonnie I have written a book on thyroid testing based on the research of Dr. Ray Peat - it contains the information you are looking for and much more!
The book title is "Test Your Thyroid Function" - Maybe someone here has already read the book and can tell you about it!

Attached is a screenshot from my book "Test Your Thyroid Function.
"Test Your Thyroid Function" is based on Dr. Ray Peat's research about thyroid testing.

Furthermore, the book thoroughly explains how you can track your metabolism at home using pulse, temperature, and low thyroid symptoms.Thyroid Health:
Moreover, this book extensively covers various aspects of thyroid function and metabolic health, addressing subjects such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis, reverse T3, the impact of stress on metabolism, and much more.If you want to fully understand and track your thyroid health, "Test Your Thyroid Function" is a very important book.
