New "Mission" of RPF

I'm thinking of the third-party proxy servers that people use to access sites like Netflix, Hulu and many news sites (which have ridiculous regional restrictions) from outside of the US. Many Americans in Mexico for instance use them to access content in the US but some of these sites will detect the DNS server and block access anyway. I guess some people use them for other reasons such as to hide their identity, and Charlie has had a banner on RPF stating they weren't allowed but I've never had a problem with it on the RPF site until now.

Are you outside of the US? Because I'm thinking that either Charlie is blocking people outside of the US or he's blocking anyone using a DNS service. So he either wants just a US audience participating or he wants to know your computer's identity. Now why would that be?

I also note that it says you may e-mail the site's administrator to resolve it but AFAIK nobody has an e-mail address for 'Charlie' and it is not provided.

If it had to do with having a proxy DNS service I might think so, but @abhi is not using one and I'm still blocked whether I've got the service activated or not.

It makes me think that the block is by location. Is anyone else outside of the US but can still read the RPF?

Interesting. For international conspiratorial reasons I wouldn't expect him to be blocking Russian IPs. Maybe Cloudflare's doing that more broadly.

I doubt it's Charlie, because Charlie's knowledge of biology seems nil, and his replies show this. While this mosaic guy at least rationalizes in a like manner, but using terms from biology
