A histamine answer?
-
I’ve posted about having histamine issues, but recently I read a RP quote about histamine issues being a result of calcium getting in the cell and irritating it. Then I read that the calcium to magnesium ratio should be between 2:1 and 1:1.
I drink half a gallon of milk a day, so my ratio is almost at 6:1. I don’t know if it’s causing the histamine issues, but it can’t be helping.
So, two questions:
How do big milk drinkers get enough magnesium to overcome this? Heavy supplementation? Slamming beans, nuts, and seeds doesn’t seem like a great idea.
Is there a worry of taking in too much magnesium? The 1500mg or so I’d need for the ratio seems kind of high.

Yes, but your interpretation is not right.
When a cell is stressed, calcium is used to stimulate a action. When entering a cell, Ca drives Mg out. Place is limited.
There is then a unbalance in chemical and afterwards electrical tone.
I can give a link if you want more details.
In short, you need to add magnesium in urgency to calm down the irritation, followed by potassium soon after.
I use 2.5 g bisglycinate Mg when stressed (300 Mg element x 3) in crisis, with a meal. 600 mg afterwards, until regularized. 420 mg as usual target.
I use potassium bicarbonate (3.2 g), apart from digestion, once a day, at night to balance my electrolytes.
=> Na/K and Mg/Ca. -

Too much, not really except it could become laxative.
One exception more: if your vitamin D is not right (min. 35 ng/ml; 45 ng target), do not take more than 420 mg Mg element a day, until you reach your target. Exception if it's a cure (so, ok, because limited in time, when a nervous problem arises).
