      if you actually go to the store (in Canada at least) and look , there are actually a lot of peaty junk foods that use tropical oils. loblaws has entire aisles of mostly imported stuff and they use palm or coconut oils for cookies and such . I even found some non imported toaster pastries made with palm oil. the main thing I notice missing are chips and other fried foods though, although i saw a pita chip brand in Canada frying in coconut oil even though they use fortified flour still. btw I found a danish cream cheese that has no thickeners. it is megabased.
