      Re: Vitamin E Supplement

just started Idealabs' Tocovit (and i dont have any complaints) but am wondering if there are any other good alternatives?

      like this one? https://www.amazon.com/Ingredients-Vitamin-Softgels-Antioxidant-Function/dp/B0845QRGV5/ref=sr_1_7.

is there anything special about tacovit? just wondering why there is a big price diff.

I’ve taken TocoVit and the HealthNatura version called Whole E. Those are really the only sites I’ve trusted ordering from since they both had seemed to be well vetted on RPF. I switched over to the Whole E because they put everything in glass instead of plastic, and TocoVit was running out of stock often as well.

@sphagnum health natura is/was not well-vetted because they sold improperly synth'd k2 for an undetermined length of time as I have said in my other post

I didn’t see your other reply until after making this post. I had basically trusted the word on RPF at the time.
Would you say there isn’t any reason to think HN got their act together since? I’m not sure how the K2 incident was revealed or resolved to know what to think/look for.

@ravstr That product contains synthetic Vitamin E, or dl-alpha-tocopherol. You want to find natural Vitamin E or d-alpha tocopherol (one has "dl", the other has "d").

Tocovit is natural vitamin E that has been extracted out of wheat germ oil and place in a medium of extra virgin olive oil.

Mercola has a vitamin E that is derived from sunflower seed oil and put in a media of medium chain triglycerides.

@sphagnum its probably totally fine now I just vowed to not buy stuff from them because their customer service around it sucked so bad, they refused to refund me because my bottle was expired, and that was annoying because logically the bottle being expired does not negate the fact they sold me a bad product, and secondly, I wasnt contacted properly about it, they could have sent me a letter via paper mail if I wasn't checking to see if they emailed me. The way their customer service person talked to me was just shameful from a good business perspective. I just dont have time for companies run by, staffed by people like that.

for k2 I just buy it from idealabs, who get it from sigma or some other reputable supplier and just mix it in oil and bottle it. the only reason I do this instead of buying the powder myself and doing it is apparently k2 mk4 powder is sensitive to light and im too lazy to setup a darkroom mixing apparatus or something. im assuming idealabs mixes it in a darkroom if its required but I have no idea as no details like this are ever given.

If I found out HN has some sort of amazing pregnenolne now I would cope and buy it, but they are just selling microbially produced pregnenolone, which isn't that big of a deal. I mean it's cool, and great and all, but I haven't seen any proof that microbially produced preg makes a better end product, and secondly it's funny actually because microbially produced citric acid is really le bad according to peaters.
