The a ratio of the major amino acids of collagen
in its proper ratio of 3 glycine : 1 proline : 1 hydroxyproline is superior in increasing
lifespan compared to collagen supplementation. A broad range of supplementing with different Gly : Pro : Hyp ratios promotes even better physical performance and longevity.

A collagen amino acid composition supplementation reduces biological age in humans and increases health and lifespan in vivo (2025)

I had seen this one the other day.
The 3:2 Gly:(OH)Pro of course matches up with the relative composition of collagen.
Why not the depicted ratio of 10 parts Gly - 1 part Pro - 1 part OH-Pro, though?
Fits in with a realistic and commonplace daily supplemental target of 10g Gly + 2g Pro. Or 10g Gly + +-3g Cit.
Not sure what to make of it as it clearly is a product-affiliated study and not reaching in-depth.

lol do the study with just adding glycine and i bet it will do the same at increasing doses. i’ve seen 60g of extra glycine a day touted as being fine

@CrumblingCookie - I do not know; but here is my guess. The first and last authors both work at "Laboratory of Extracellular Matrix Regeneration, Institute of Translational Medicine, Department of Health Sciences and Technology". Longevity is not within the Institute's purview. They reported the increase in longevity with the additional glycine but they did not expand on their findings.

Similarly, at the bottom of page 4 of the PDF there is a section entitled "Synergistic longevity by combining α-ketoglutarate and 3 Gly : 1 Pro : 1 Hyp". Synergistic longevity may be outside the Institute's purview.
