Once they're available, would myostatin inhibitors be Peaty?

Background: The main factor preventing constant muscle growth is the myostatin protein. Anabolic steroids function mainly by blocking myostatin through GR antagonism, but there are many other pathways too.

The idea here is that such inhibitors would build muscle, and increase basal metabolic rate, at a more fundamental level than hormones which don't affect muscle only. What remains to be seen is if such non-hormonal methods are actually safe because there are reports that ligaments don't grow in tandem with the muscle itself, probably unlike hormones which have a more broad target.

Currently, there is at least one myostatin inhibitor in clinical trials (trevogrumab) so we'll have to see how that does.
