Sterile gut makes no sense to me
-
I have sibo.
I have not tried any antibiotic yet.
Instead I tried kefir.
Someone told me that u can heal sibo with raw meat raw milk etc. like you need good bacteria to kill off the bad bacteria?
Anyway kefir doesnt work it just feeds the bad bacteria too
I feel pretty good eating coco oil and carrot salad.
But it just dosent seem feasible to be so restrictive (starvation) woth my eating just to have a sterile gut.
Thats why the odea of “introducing good bacteria” like raw meat eggs milk etc seems like it would help me tolerate toxins & make me stronger ?
Always having a sterile gut just doesnt seem sustainable in todays enviorment.
Like ajoonus vonderplants or something ? -
The idea is the the “good” (less dangerous) will crowd out the more dangerous ones, when you already have the dangerous ones. But best to have neither is ray’s and haidut’s conclusion. Carrot salad safest way to control the effects of bacteria.

I never fully understood the concept either, but I’ve also never come across a fully developed proposition for it, nor any success stories. Considering all the information available today about the human microbiome and its interconnectivity to systematic bodily functions (specifically digestion,) it feels to me like a foolhardy undertaking.
I also agree that it’s unsustainable, so a full protocol to rebuild it safely and correctly would also be necessary.
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side, and an attempt at a sterile gut feels like a huge gamble to me.

What's a surgical sterility standard to the small intestine? Similar or worse I reckon.

Maybe the problem's above your complaint @gg12 . Hydrochloric acid.
